Its A historic school which have started several years ago....It is such an outstanding school when comparing to others...it is one of the top government schools in the district....and the ground of this school G.H.S.S Kumaranellur have a position in the list of top 10 Grounds ...It is one of the school which have contributed so many Batches of students.... Famous personalities like Akkitham and M T vasudevan nair were the students once... Higher secondary studies are also there...4 courses are available...The area and environment make everyone too nice to study there...which was really interests everyone.. The availabilities, high facilities,and latest technologies are really a highlights of there...Labs Of physics chemistry and biology have a lot of machineries and a vast collection of many things ...computer lab of Higher secondary were one of the main thing to be noticed because of its arrangement and facility... programs like ASAP and NSS were there and the centre of ASAP of the palakkad dt is here.... The ground were Protecting and keeping by the society , school and panchayat too...The ground were have a Large area and a lot of programs can be conducted at a time....The Ground were used for many programs related to the locality like sports and arts which is not a part of school but of the society....

One of the oldest school in the district, which gives birth to legends like jyanapeedam award winners poet akkitham and MT Vasudevan Nair... school also posses much facilities like labs and ground etc..

I won't recommend this school for higher secondary. Poor education. Poor faculties. They don't know how to treat kids.
