One and only one in the whole of Jammu and kashmir, The Government College of Physical education is the first place when any student thinks of making his/her career in Physical education. It is located in the Gadoora Ganderbal, apx 4 to 5 kilometres from Duderhama Ganderbal. The infrastructure of the college is magnificent and is equipped with a majestic ground and Gym centre. It also houses various game courts, Girls and boys hostels also. The college has a vast expanse of free land for doing physical activities. Since it is located far away from the hustle and bustle of the city, i guess it would be easy for students to concentrate and enjoy all the activities. Cleanliness and hygiene wise, the said place is maintained very well.
It is having huge land and a big play ground , Student who gets admission can enjoy and develop skills at fullest ,most important thing that I like is play ground that gives you a better place to practice without time bond.

The college is presently the singular Institute of Jammu and Kashmir state affiliated to University of Kashmir,offering courses in physical education at graduate and post graduate levels. The Institution was established initially at the old campus of (Naseem Bagh) University of kashmir in 1976 and was later shifted to Ganderbal at a distance of 22 Km from srinagar city.
