Most transparent market in agri sector. In my childhood days i freuqently go there to sell cocoon, with my grand father and father. Those were the days i spent with them and spent with sericulture. Used to sleep on ground crawling inside the sack used to brought cocoon. No interference of middlemen.

I've been going through Ramnagara countless times without ever stopping... This time I did and didn't regret. It's interesting to see this activity of auctioning the cocoons. I think my wife was the only woman in the room but nobody bothered. Tried not to disturb people who work here and make a living out of it. Worth the stop here even if it's to stay 10min.

The dead Cocoon Worms are used for animal feed. Watching the real-life trading is a sight in itself. There is a lot of Police protection. Visit in the afternoons to get permission to enter the market where you can touch n see the Cocoons and some insight into this trade.
