Gourmet Hut - Chinese restaurant in Kolkata - Kolkata, India

One of my most favourite chinese restaurant. The main reason is their quantity. That's why I'm giving them a 5 star rating. One plate of every dish (main course) is enough for two normal people. You will get mostly all the known chinese dishes here with pocket friendly price. Go visit them and I'm sure you won't get disappoint.

It's a small restaurant inside a lane with not that much space but the food quality and quantity is decent with respect to their price. We ordered 3 kinds of mixed fried rice with 2 side dishes. The gourmet hut special mixed fried rice indeed had various ingredients but it's a bit spicy so be sure to try it with a sweet dish like pan fried fish or sweet n sour fish. They don't have AC till now so visit them on a cold day.

I do visit this place atlst once a month. This place is mainly known for their humungous quantity, one plate of rice or noodles is enough for two persons. However during recent times, i have noticed that the outer layer of the chicken or fish of the gravy is Little bit hard. Definitely recommended from my side.

If you are find good food with cheap price then it's your final destination.

I've been a customer of this place for 3 years now and was satisfied with their quality until a day back..we dined in and ordered noodles and honey chicken...the worst experience...the waiter without any hesitation admitted that the noodles were boiled a day back. The noodles were pasty and soggy ,it tasted like it was overheated for a long time and loaded with onions and chillies and garlic to cover the stale smell . The honey chicken was too sweetened, as if boiled chicken were put into sugar syrup...the consistency of honey chicken was watery ...never would have expected this from gourmet hut...they don't have any courtesy or manners..when I reported there was no apology but the waiter argued quite a deal and was acting really laid back. Another thing is they don't have any bathroom facility, so it's inconvenient for women and children. Won't ever visit there, ever.

Awesome delicious food, been here many times, each and every time full satisfied with their delicious dishes and polite behaviour... visited on 12.10.21, ordered Hot Garlic Noodles, Machurian Mixed Rice, Mixed Fried Rice, Dry Chilli Chiken and Sweet n Sour Chicken.. all are just wow!!! Dry Chilli Chicken must try... In between this long period, we visited here too many times, and every time we enjoyed the food, last time we visited here on 18-11-22, ordered Gourmet Hut Special Mixed Fried Rice, Sizzling Chicken, Black Bean Chicken (another must try) and Prawn Thuppa, each and every dish was fantabulous... Must try their Special Mixed Fried Rice (they serve huge in quantity, it's enough for two easily), just speechless... In 2023 this was our first visit in this awesome restro, on 15th April, this time we tried Gourmet Hut Special Rice, Gourmet Hut Special Chicken and Mixed Thuppa, all 3 dishes were amazing in taste.. this restro always amazed me... This is the Gem of Chinese Food dishes.. we have tried all the dishes in here, each and every dishes were mind blowing... They also serve complimentary ice cream for Bengali New Year...

Not very spacious inside, I preferred take away mostly. Good food quality and quantity as compare to their prices. Good budget chinese restaurant.

Today's food was pathetic....rice and chicken both was hard and unable to digest .....we ordered two mixed rice and chili chicken but both the dishes was preserved..... prawn was unhygienic and worst.....pls don't order from Gourmet house..... Quality is worst
