This gate comes under umred karhandla wildlife sanctuary. Booking is available most of the times and it becomes easy to book. Online booking is somewhat cheaper than spot booking. The sighting of tiger is too good and we were lucky to spot two tigers. The jungle is dense with lots of water bodies inside.

The sanctuary is around 40-45 km away from Nagpur city and home to a great number of wild animals. The safari gate has all facilities for visiting wildlife enthusiasts. A must visit gate for witnessing India's wild life.
Today early in the morning I had visited this place for jungle safari. It's very nice forest for jungle lovers. It is the part of famous Umred Karhandla Tiger Sanctuary. There are three entry gates for this sanctuary.Karhandla, Paoni and Gothangao. Gothangao is just 54 km from Nagpur. Of course the pre on line booking as per the rules is required. Being summer days, morning safari starts at 5.45 a. m. and ends at 9.45 a.m. This is the only sanctuary in Maharashtra having so many natural ponds inside the jungle. The forest is also very dense. Today I was not that much lucky to see the Tiger from very near as usual. But the tiger was cited and he was far away from us. Other wild animals were available. It's nice place for wild life photography. Thanks to forest department for maintaining very properly this sanctuary with soft spoken guides and gypsy drivers. Till last minute, guide and driver use to track the tiger, which is the speciality of this Tiger reserve forest. One should visit this place at least once, if you are jungle lover.
Had Very very amazing experience with Gothangao gete umred karhandla tiger reserve. First day after long lockdown amazing safari experience and had very beautiful Tiger sighting " 5Tiger " in one safari. This happens me first I saw 5 tiger at one place one mother and 4 cubs. I'm very happy to visit the Gothangao gete umred karhandla tiger reserve Maharashtra. Very much beautiful nature and jungle jungle staff are very polite and helpful. My nature guide is mr.shivshankar and and jeepsi rider mr.shailesh very nice and polite Nature very helpful they tell us Every thing about jungle , about nature ,about wildlife Very interesting person. I believe I highly recommend they for all my safaris. And mr. Abhilesh bhai the help me allot for Booking safari. I highly recommend to visit the " Umred karhandla tiger reserve Gothangao gate"
Me and my family had a amazing time there and you have the more probalitiy of seeing tiger there every time you go there . People were really nice there . Make sure you book your ticket before hand only cause this place is always completely booked the whole season would love to go again.
Dense forest Sighting not frequent
Beautiful place for tiger sighting. Good drivers n knowledgeable guides try very hard to find Tigers in sanctuary. It was a treat to watch tigress with her cubs. After safari 2 Tiger cubs sighting on road was cherry on cake.
It's was amazing experience, I suggest to all the lovers of Jungle Safari , Tiger ke diwane must visit Gothangao Gate ( karandla jungle ) u definitely see tiger here. As per my part experience, super jungle 100% chances to see Tiger Female T6 with cubs It's just 55km from nagpur .......... super duper sitting on 1- jan-2020
