goSTOPS Manali - Backpacker Hostel in Manali - Kullu, India

Not recommended, they charged more than 2k for private room and when I asked for 2 glasses. They denied to give us and I overheard that they are talking don't give glasses to anyone. This is how they are treating the guest

I was on a trip to parvati valley with my fellow mates from Rajasthan we have stayed in many hostels other then this before but i have the worst experience here at gostop manali the staff facility here was the cheapest they didn't know how to valve their customers instead they are so offensive to their customers specially we meet a guy here and he was working here and he offended me and my friends a lot and as the result we just left the hostel after 4 hours of check in and just went at other stay we had booked for 2 days. But we were not able to survive for 4 hr I highly recommend not to book at gostop manali until they heir fresh employees who can serve better rathet then this kind of people. he even warned us that he can throw us out of the property

Review: I recently had the unfortunate opportunity to stay at GoStops Manali, and I must say it was one of the worst hostel experiences I have ever had. From the moment I arrived, I was met with disappointment and frustration. First and foremost, I was shocked by the unprofessional behavior of the hostel manager, Kunal. His demeanor and actions displayed a clear abuse of power. Rather than providing assistance or a warm welcome, he seemed to revel in exerting his authority over guests. His behavior was arrogant, rude, and completely unbecoming of someone in a customer-facing role. To make matters worse, the overall stay at GoStops Manali was far from pleasant. The facilities were in poor condition, with dirty common areas, malfunctioning amenities, and inadequate maintenance. The cleanliness of the rooms left much to be desired, and the lack of proper ventilation made the atmosphere uncomfortable and suffocating. Additionally, the staff's lack of attentiveness and the absence of any genuine care for guest satisfaction was evident throughout my stay. Requests for basic necessities were met with indifference, and it felt as though they were more interested in going through the motions rather than providing a positive experience. GoStops Manali and its management, including Kunal, need to seriously reevaluate their priorities and improve their customer service standards. It is unacceptable to treat guests with such disrespect and disregard. As a customer, I felt undervalued and disrespected throughout my entire stay. I strongly advise against choosing GoStops Manali as your accommodation option. The combination of an unprofessional manager, Kunal, and a disappointing overall experience makes it clear that there are far better choices available in Manali. Save yourself the hassle and look elsewhere for a comfortable and welcoming place to stay.

Rooms are good and very clean but the service is least reasonable of all the gostops around the nation. I've never rated this badly except for this one. The rules are not tourist friendly. Staff won't let bonfire after 10 they won't let you sit out after 10 and also the services are okay. Did search for minus rating for a while tho'. Being a tourist, i felt quite suffocated and would definitely address as the last place to stay in manali.

I don't recommend this property at all. No latch inside the dorms. What's the point of booking a female dormitory if you don't feel safe Inside the dorm. According to their stupid rules they think it's not safe to lock the dormitory from inside. For female travelers I would not recommend this hostel at all.

The hostel has decently spacious and well-ventilated rooms, with a mountain-facing balcony in front. It has a cafe where you can get reasonably priced food from a diversified menu. Manu temple and Hidimba temple are at walking distance and you can also find good cafes around. Staff were polite and courteous, and the property was well-maintained.

Although the services and all were the same as other goStops but the owner lives in the top floor, which definitely was a problem. The rooms were okay but the bunk beds didn't had any curtains, and the washroom sucks as the taps/jet spray were very slow.

Well everything is normally good in this hostel. The location is pretty good and its in old manali. The food is also tasty but comes at a good price. The beat past is the kitchen in open 24 hours. You can order food in the middle of the night.The worst past is the wifi is very bad and their policy of using wifi. As soon as you checking, they will be creating an ID and you will be getting a limit of 1.5 GB daily only. In most of the time the Wi-Fi is not accessible from your laptop. The rooms are very cosy and, the mattresses very comfortable.
