Goroomgo UK Palace Puri - Hotel in Puri - Puri, India

I traveled to Puri with my entire family of 6 adults, 1 child and 1 infant. Since all the adults were elderly, I pre booked 3 delux rooms through goroomgo . After reaching there, I was in a complete state of shock. It's unbelievable how goroomgo has cheated us. The rooms were very small, no view of sea from the room ( the balconies are facing the back of the beach), no wifi, filthy bedsheets, bathrooms had no hangers or locks from inside, no geysers only hot water extension cords. Since I had an infant, I required a kitchen to cook baby food. Goroomgo assured me to provide hygienecaly cooked baby food and a electric hot water kettle in the room but when I reached there, the staff said that their kitchen is under construction and there is no electric kettle in the hotel. The staff is very very rude. They don't provide room service Every day and when asked for it, they reply rudely. They didn't even provide basic drinking water to us. Every time when electricity goes out, I had to request them to turn on the generator. My 6 days stay in this hotel was a nightmare. I had to stay unwillingly since I had prebook led my rooms. Even one star is too much for this hotel and goroomgo is a fraud company

Pathetic experience. Torn bed sheets were provided. There is nothing called service staff there. Never ever checkin there. There is no geyser and the room pics are deceptive. .

Edit: Our room got changed the next day. We got better rooms where sea was visible (though over the top of front buildings) but not the beach. Service was a bit slow but staff were friendly. Had a good time spending here. About the photoshopped pics reviews, the pics of the rooms are genuine in Google. Few rooms are really good and the sea is visible and some aren't at all. Our first day here. These place didn't meet the expectations at all. Bedsheets had marks ( even though they said that they are washed ). No wifi. And the sea view is struggling. (Gave 1 star overall)

Worst place for stay,no services available there. Not good for family stay.

First of all I would like to say that all the previous reviews that i read about this Hotel are absolutely bogus. **********This is my 18th visit to PURI*********** I have visited several hotels for 3-4 night stay, but believe me or not, this Hotel UK Palace is the best and the cheapest hotel I have ever visited. Beautiful SEA View Rooms with cool breeze blowing in room 24 hours. NOTE: Not all rooms have sea view. So, you have to adjust and request the manager accordingly. *********Hotel Facilities*************** >> Double bed rooms enough for 3 Adults. >> Neat and Clean Rooms and Toilets >> Very nice Caretaker service >> Breakfast, Diner, Lunch all are available at cheap price. Worst hotel in Puri is UK palace. Mr Ajit Singh did our booking on a falsename.He said that we will be given hotel golden view but the manager of golden view said that they didn't receive any booking. Moreover he cheated us badly by shifting us to this third grade hotel called UK palace having worst service no dining hall dirty rooms toilet towels and a poor location.Staff are not good at all.Ajit Singh should be arrested immediately andnowheisnot picking up ourphonecalls.plz do not ever contact Ajit Singh and UK palace

Neat clean rooms , washrooms . Helpful staff and owner. Near the beach , parking area too was available. Good place to stay .

Had worst experience with this hotel, we booked for 4 nights and after reaching puri, the hotel owner called us and told that they are sending a cab to pick us from bus stand free of cost. The cab took us to some other hotel "Hotel Sai Sand Piper"and told us to check the room. I asked the hotel manager why we are taken to this hotel when we booked UK Palace. He told owner are same and we can stay in this one too. We asked the manager that we will check and then only will proceed as we booked the hotel bcoz of better room and we are paying for better rooms, plus they told its has sea view and near to market. The rooms at Sai Sand Piper were not good at all, very small rooms, the rooms are dirty and bed sheets were not washed, it's pretty far from market, and it has no sea view. We told we are not going to stay at this hotel for the price we booked. Then the manager started arguing with us, that we have to pay no matter what. It was around 11 pm and they started harassing us all. We took our bags and told we are not paying for anything we dont want your room or anything. Luckily we got a hotel that was close to market and had a better view of beach.
