Gorewada Jungle Safari - Wildlife and safari park in Bodhala - Nagpur, India

The zoo is very good and feels just like a jungle safari (in a canter, though). All the animals are in very enclosed areas, so sighting is guaranteed, and it is quite a thrilling experience, especially in the non ac bus. Always book tickets in advance as other people book it, and there are very low tickets available on the spot

There are three phases totally out of which only one is being done under which four sections-tiger, leopard, sloth bear and herbivores. Buses were decently maintained, some seats had stains tho (on a particular bus) nothing bothering tho. The animals looks really healthy and active, we saw 3/4 leopards, 4/5 bears and 1/2 tigers during rain that too.Felt amazing to witness then closely. Tickets for AC bus pp is 400 bucks. The place is very well maintained as i heard this is asia's largest zoo/safari.

We saw many wild animals there Tigers, Leopards, Deer, Blackbuck, White Dear, Nilgai, Sloth bears etc. It's as good as a zoo but animals are kept properly in their actual habitat. Just ok as one time visit. Animals are less hence you can have sightings (from a distance) if you are lucky. Bus guide was good at explaining everything. After safari you can buy accessories with wildlife themes there.

Good for one day visit ... Good to bring kids... Tickets can be booked online but u can easily get tickets on Spot if rush is not too much.. It is one hour safari with option of ac/non ac bus... You can see leopard/tiger/sloth bear and many varieties of dear and herbivores animals. There is a canteen with some South Indian/snack (though bit expensive) .. Few selfie points,... One shop to buy souvenirs like T-shirt/caps/badges/handicrafts/wildlife books etc.

You can take your vehicle for the safari, it's compulsory to have a guide with you. You can also take their gypsy which can accommodate up to 6 people. It will take about 1h 30m to complete the safari. Forest is pretty good with the regular sighting of wild animals.

Our experience of Gorewada jungle safari has been outstanding, the tour lead was very informative. This is a huge open concept zoo I have seen in India, it does give a feel of real jungle. Loved it !

An amazing experience and happy to see a well maintained zoo safari. Nagpur is definitely becoming a great hub for tourism with wonderful places like this zoo coming about. It's at par with the best in the world if not better. A must visit place and I ll visiting it every time they get a new zone and every year.
