Along the bank of hasdeo river this fossil park is situated, but there is nothing like park its a normal river bank protected by fencing, and fossils are almost destroyed few fossils are exposed on surface partially. Opposite bank of river has nice exposure of sedimentary rocks. Park will be locked so ask for the key to the priest of the temple.
A very good place for recreation situated along the banks of Hasdeo river,in Manendragarh, Chhattisgarh. The area is full of lush green dense forest, flora and fauna and much more enshrining beauty attracts visitors from far and wide...Soon try to visit again...
Not a park as I was expecting. But there are true fossils millions of years old. Must have formed due to tectonic plate movements around the place. Cool river view on the side... It's a short trek from the temple. Gates are not open all the time but you can ask the gatekeeper and with any luck he might let you visit the place. Please do not collect any sort of fossil from here, let them be in their place.
I actually didnt like it, but one who is curious about what fossils are can make a visit u can touch and have experience of that, fossils are mounted on rocks it never removed only made visible.
It is a National Geological Monument (GSI) and represents the Marine Transgression event during Paleozoic times in central Indian peninsula, the fossils are mostly taken away or might have been mutilated due to sheer neglect, it should be placed in School Visit programs so that the next gen may have some inclination towards Earth Science. Being a Geologist, I loved the place but shattered to see the preservation status of it. One has to struggle a bit to get to the venue from getting keys from nearby temple priest.
Visit only if you are a geologist.... otherwise it's just a riverbank...

Not a "family" restaurant as people were smoking and drinking there. But we were hungry and looking for a place to eat. Food tasted nice compared to what we expected. Service was quick and good.
Good taste with reasonable price...One of the best Fast food in Manendragarh.. Located in Jkd road infront of blossom academy..veg and Nonveg Both are available with Reasonable price... Highly Recommended...
