It is not a place where everyone can go and refresh their mind as of now. Refurbishment is going on let's see it results in +ve or -ve. But for locals it's a great place to go and have a picnic and enjoy.

A very big and peaceful place so beautiful architecture with ancient history of Dost Mohammad khan founder of Bhopal state. The place is beyond beautiful. Fort is awesome scenic beauty. For photography purposes it was awesome.
A monument under state archeology a that lies in the ruins of shambles and neglect. The place could have been in a much better state if the archeology department had spent some resources on the management and restoration of the place. But just like the other monuments of the Begam era of Bhopal, this also has no similar story. I have seen plenty of other monuments in the state of MP but the monuments in or around Bhopal are almost at the brink of collapsing. It's sad to see heritage turning into a ruin.
Islamnagar Fort is a good picnic place for families. I went there with my family and few family friends and we had a good outing and catching up. The fort is a historical location no doubt but do not visit with high hopes and expectations. It's a small fort and if you are going just to visit, it won't take more than half an hour. If you are going with family, bring along badmintons or music systems so that you can have some fun. Also, the place is a bit crowded on Sundays and public holidays. If you are visiting on such days, get there early around 12 or 12 30 so you can score a good place for yourself. And yes, the fort has some really great gardens.
Umm fort is nice but maintenance of fort I'll say very poor the grass of the fort is not cleaned as it should be or also no cleanliness didn't maintained but the fort is very nice to visit and it will feel you like you are in that era of Raja and maharajas 190s 180s era so beautiful
