Gomantak - Konkani restaurant in Mumbai - Mumbai, India

I went at 2pm and had a line. Food was pretty good. But the waiter got a bit confused with order but he was sweet. The food was pretty fresh. Took a special thali, was good. The prawn rice was a bit tasteless. But overall food was good.

The manager of the hotel was too rude we went to the washroom and our brother was standing on our behalf but he was not letting him in although we were just 2 minutes away from the restaurant.Lets talk about food so being Maharashtrian I know the taste of chicken curry and fish curry so what I felt was it wasn't worth it at all.The fried fish was good and the crabs lolipop are must try but the other 2 thalis were okay- okay only.One more thing is that they literally don't have anything in veg not even papad.We places an order for panner tikka masala and roti but after few minutes the waiter comes and says sorry it isn't possible so my sister just had to sit and watch us until we had our food.There are literally no veg options like you will get nothing.

We had surmai thali which is super delicious surmai was in big sizee,. also tried chicken masala thali bt that was not spicy as expected..... We tried fish fingers too... Cool ambiance.. we are giving 2star for bad experience is that we didn't carry cash also they dont have gpay service to use.... so we had to find ATM outside for cash.

Amazing Sea food. Must try for authentic experience

must visit for authentic kokani sea food . Prawn and Surmai dishes are recommended. Make sure to visit on week days ( if possible) or else you have to wait for at least half hr on sundays .

Me and my friends went gomantak for lunch and my honest review about this place is it's not worth it at all as being foodie I really appreciate good food the food was tasteless I have ordered prawns thali the prawns were uncooked als the chiken thali tasted average the main thing solkadhi was tasting like water also it can be seen in photos to that soulkadhi have oil in it it's questionable when solulkadhi is tottaly made with coconut milk and kokan aagal being kokani myself I was so disappointed with taste of soulkadhi. may be we have visited sunday due to rush they could not give a proper service but still even if it's sunday people are paying full price that to waiting in line so this can not be use as reason for Undelight food I had so much expectations with this place but surely food can be much much better quality can be improved. Still I hope when I visit this place next time I can get a better food

The Sea Food was excellent. The Squid masala received with the Thali was a good choice. The Bombil Thali was excellent as well. Wouldn't recommend the Mutton Thali was not upto the mark. The place overall was nice. The Staff was very polite and their service was amazing. Do visit for Seafood lovers.
