I visited this palace from outside, northern end through a nearby residential plot. This neo-gothic architecture has two storeys, inhibited by the present generation of Zamindar family. The entire campus is huge having garden, waterbodies, located at the left bank of Jamuna river (a tributaries of Ichamati).

Gobardanga, one of the ancient towns of West Bengal, is located in the North 24 Parganas District of West Bengal. It mainly comes under Habra Police station situated in the Barasat Sadar subdivision. The name of Gobardanga comes from the three words Go, Bar and Danga; It is also known as the place where the First Widow Remarriage took place. Also, it is the place of Brahma Samaj and has the Jamidar Bari or Rajbari and Oxebow Lake situated in it. Still the ancestors of Jamindars are staying here. Gobardanga, the city which is older than Kolkata. There's a school called Khantura High School which situated in 1842 and a college called Hindu College which is situated in 1957. It was residence of Zamindar and known as Zamidarbari and also as Bara Taraf means this palace belonged to the eldest brother of Zamindar family. Two more palaces known as Mejo Taraf and Chhoto Taraf were sold and converted to Market by the promoters which were more historical and attractive to the common people of Gobardanga and outsiders.

This is a nice and normal Heritage please . Do not expect anything surprising but this place has the heritage vive .

Could not enter the pace,checked it from outside.but the works on the Pilar was amazing.
