Some fun facts : 1)Inaugurated on = 27 Nov 1984 (by then CM Bindeshwari Dubey) 2) Construction Cost = Rs70 lakh on land donated by CCL 3) Capacity : 25,000 4) Administration : District Sports Association 5) Amenities : Large playground, concrete viewing gallery, a VIP gallery with roof over, electricity and water supply,a number of staff staying Rooms etc. 6) Additional Functionality : It hosts some of the major programs and executive guests Sometimes Central Forces are stationed here which inturn are deployed to other parts of state for major operations ; It also witnessed and served as a mammoth COVID -19 vaccination center/Camp during this pandemic. 7)It's a multi-purpose stadium cum amenity center which is located at 5 Km from district headquarters and 4 km from Giridih railway station.
