This giraffe cave at the Alipore Zoological Garden is indubitably great. Their are a couple of giraffes for the spectators to watch. They are well maintained and I had found them on good health. But it's quite sickening to see the innocent and the adorable animals being locked up at the enclosure, snatching away their freedom and wild enjoyment. Accessible for . Thank you!
While I was roaming here and there in the zoo suddenly I found the kingdom of giraffe. I was so happy to see them. It was really a big area for them to roam( obviously smaller than jungle). I found their perfect caring in this artificial area. Also found that some of the giraffe are adopted by others.
Giraffe... Though this animal is so long in height but they are very cute.... There are about 7-8 giraffes in this zoo, who will almost always walk in front of you... If you want you can take a selfie with them, they won't be angry at all...;)

This Giraffe Cave is one of the premier spots for visitors, heading to the Alipore zoo. This massive enclosure houses some of the tallest and healthiests of the world & everyone of them is living in a peaceful coexistence, with one another. During my recent visit, I came across a sweet new-born calf, barely able to stand firmly on it's weak legs, who became the center of attaction for the visitors and professional photographers. Must visit this place, while touring the Kolkata Zoo.
Loved the view but place was a bit smelly. The authorities should take more care.
There are around 6 giraffes. Unlike other animals, they like being around the crowd so they are generally outside.
