Gir Serai - IHCL SeleQtions - Hotel in Sasan Gir, Sasan - Junagadh, India

This Serai branch at Gir hardly picks up phone call and very bad at response. I had medical emergency because of which I could not travel - I informed and applied for cancellation including documents but the hotel is not ready for any refund too. Although I could not visit thr hotel because of medical emergemcy but looking at their mo response toultiple phone calls this looks lile it is not as per standard of Serai which I have visited at Bandipur. Bandipur Serai satff is cery welcoming and quick respomse however Gir Serai is just Seeai name but very poor response and communication.

Top quality hotel from Taj (IHCL) in dead heart of Gir Forest. Very convenient location as hotel is just 3- 4 min walk (400/500 mtrs) from Sinh Sadan (start point for Gir Jungle Safari). So, it is very easy and convenient to even take early morning (630 am departure) safari. Hotel staff is very cooperative and ever smiling. Food quality is very good and meets Taj standards to a great extent. Reception lady and staff helped us immensely during our 2 nights stay at IHCL Seleqtions Gir Serai to make our family short trip a pleasant experience. Thank you very much to the entire staff of IHCL Seleqtions Gir Serai, Sasan Gir. Such a pleasant experience, ensured that I will continue to patronage Taj Group of hotels for my future stay all over India.

It's an old property under Taj umbrella. Ok sized rooms. But location is good as it's next to Safari booking office and starting point (5 min walk). Helpful courteous staff at the property will go out of the way to make your stay comfortable. Due to low occupancy they had fixed menu for lunch and dinner. But nothing to complain as they still served full course with multiple items. Good taste.

Altogether, the property was large and lush, with an amazing view of the hills and the Hiran River from our River View room. The best part of Gir Serai is the location, right beside the jeep safari booking office. All the staff was warm and hospitable. Special mention to the staff of Gum Tree (the restaurant) They were warm and attentive and served delicious breakfast. Eat at the restaurant, if possible. No alcohol was served at the premise at the time of this visit. The rooms are a bit jaded and not really upto Taj standards but I understand efforts are being made to refurbish them.

We had an enjoyable stay at the Gir Serai. Amazing location, comfortable rooms, courteous staff, and delicious food. Highly recommended for a family or couples trip.

Located on the edge of the National Park, away from the bustling cities you come from, makes Gir Serai apt for a very serene holiday - occasional roar of the King at night is an icing! Good-sized rooms with all amenities help to make the stay comfortable. Staff, at all levels, are ever willing to help with courtesy, efficiency and professionalism associated with the great brand such as yours. Restaurant cuisine is nice too, and the breakfast spread, with good choice of hot food and delicious local flavors served out in the open, rings in a good start to your day. The hotel management particularly demonstrated a warm, personal touch to add to your comforts and to meet your every requirement, right from check-in to actual departure. Thank you for all of that. To balance my review, perhaps the bathroom may be better planned as it tends to get wet despite the shower curtains. All in all, a very comfortable, serene and memorable stay.

Excellent place with excellent people. Location is just wonderful, feels like nature is holding you in her arms. Staff over there are very helpful (we were only family during our stay), they made sure our stay is safe and pleasant.

A peaceful place. Right behind sinh sadan, and in the midst of the Jungle. Its an old property but definitely gives the peaceful vibe. The staff is extremely courteous and spontaneous. We visited during weekdays and it was quite comfortable. Congratulations for a good management.
