Ginger House Museum Hotel - Hotel in Kochi - Ernakulam, India

Sadly we were only here one night bit it was lovely. Arrived late but enjoyed a lovely dinner in the charming waterside restaurant. Delicious Keralan food , nice Indian wine and beer. Sadly no gin! Bring your own, there is a liquor store nearby. Room was fantastic with a great sea view and balcony. Lovely pool too. Breakfast was the best I've ever had. Would love to have stayed longer.

Great place unique and atmospheric. Rooms are something else all individual and a joy to stay in. Food is great and well priced. Great view at the river side and the art and design and museum on site is fascinating.

A classic tourist trap.Just had a lunch with my family and it was a disappointment. Exorbitant prices with poor service. A bottle of water and some chapatis took almost 30 mins to arrive. They got a group of tourists and all the staff rushed to serve them , ignoring the smaller groups. With the price they charge , you can go a five star restaurant like a Taj or Hyatt, and not have yourself insulted .

*Cafe Review* I stumbled upon the name of Ginger House Museum Hotel while reading up on 'things to do in Kochi' and then a local friend recommended the cafe to me. We were out sightseeing in Mattancherry and were walking from the Dutch Palace to the Jew Synagogue, and I saw this huge sign of the hotel. We were a bit hungry and went it - it was the same place I read about and my friend recommended! When we entered, we were blown away by how beautiful this cafe was. Once we sat down, the owner came over for a quick chat - we spoke about the antiques. The warmth of the place was quite palpable. We wanted a seaside table and we were offered one very soon. The restaurant was pretty packed and seems to be popular amongst the locals and tourists alike. While we had to wait for a fair bit for the food (probably because it was pretty packed), but the food was worth the wait. Yummy! We were also treated to some mango kadhi - again, fantastic and something I never had before. All in all, a 11/10 experience. I am going to recommend this to all who intend to visit Cochin. We also wanted to visit the hotel but couldn't because of paucity of time - but if the cafe was this good, I am sure the hotel must be great as well. The exteriors looked quite promising. Was there in first week of July 2023 for my mother's milestone bday celebration Lunch ...superb place n ambience great food n courteous staff despite peak hour n Sunday rush .In a nutshell over all a colourful &treasure trove of a place. Loved it !

Amazing property with nice hospitality! Breakfast served was delicious! Must stay in once in life time at the royal suite studded with 18k gold!

Gorgeous boutique hotel, in a fabulous location in the heart of Jew Town, our room was stunning, pure luxury. The staff are so helpful and friendly but always professional. A special mention for Allen the manager was there for all our needs. Also had great food at the attaceh restaurant. The owner is a delightful gentleman, great to chat with at breakfast. Would highly recommend and plan to return.

Soothing atmosphere, such a beautiful restaurant. Morning is the suitable time to visit the museum and the museum is open till 6:30pm. Even after being a 4star facility there is a Parking constraint keeping it aside everything is pleasant here. All you see here is for sale and if you have the penny to afford it you can take it home.
