Ginger Bangalore IRR - Hotel in Bengaluru - Bengaluru Urban, India

I booked Ginger as I've visited many properties of Ginger in the past. I decided to stay at this property knowing that they were renovating and were ready to adjust to the noise and dust from the construction work happening there. I was to stay there for a week but decided that I would never return to this particular property after staying there for 2 nights. The staff, especially the room service team was very rude. For a bottle of water, they insisted I call the front desk's phone, which was busy during my entire stay there. Just to check I even called at midnight and the line was engaged. Though I was in the MAP plan as a guest, I did not have the freedom of choice in food. They had already decided that I would be served only veg thali, while I wanted something else within the plan amount. Even a chicken sandwich would have worked but was denied. The worst thing was that I booked my stay through the local sales manager and he or others from his team did not even bother to check why I cut short my stay at this property. On the whole, the attitude of the staff was very rude and unfit for this group of hotels at a prime business location. Maybe this is Tata's worst business property.

Standard rooms are small in size comparatively to other hotels, no wonder you will have to squeeze yourself in. Same is with the washroom as well. Good for a single person. Rooms are very neat and clean. Food taste and quality is also nice. Best part its location - indiranagar and kormangla are nearby to this hotel.

One word review - pathetic. Rooms are not spacious. Bedsheet and towels have strains. Switches are not working properly. Bathroom is uncomfortable for the space they provided.. Just avoid this hotel if u want a pleasant stay. Not worthy for the money. Car parking is available.

This was my worst Ginger experience. The most horrific experience: they gave an uttapam which was smelling bad of eggs! On asking the kitchen, they said they wash the tawa with onion or eggs if it becomes sticky!! Over that, They have renovation work going on which has not been mentioned on the website while booking. The entire restaurant and 1st floor is under renovation and you get very small pathetic rooms. They gave us 1 small room when we had booked for 2 adults and 1 kid. The restaurant is closed which means they serve you food in the room. Already the room is small and you have bags and you need to eat... on the bed?? The breakfast is also a packed meal and they serve you in the room. It becomes cold or it gets wasted!

Entrance : Officially there is no entrance as there is so called renovation going on. so you have to crawl and reach the lift. Lifts are smelly same as room. Ones you enter the hotel you will try to find escape, which I was unable to do as my check in was midnight. It is pathetic property, better avoid. Rooms: Rooms are dirty and very smelly even if it is available for 500/- you should avoid it. Can not spend a single night. Washroom: Washrooms are useless, there are showers with space of 2ftx2ft where only lizards can feel comfortable. Food : Food is okay, but there is not operating dining area. so you have rely on room service and cold food. Verdict: Its not IHCL1% (Tata Group), Even if you are getting rooms for free, you should avoid it.

Horrible experience I wouldn't recommend this hotel 1. Rooms are nothing like those displayed on the website 2. No restaurant or other facilities 3. Hotel under renovation - the entire place smells of pesticides (as they are treating the place for pests) 4. Rooms are too small and so are the beds

Room Service is an issue... Hot Water not available on early morning. Room Cleaning not upto the mark. Sanitary fixture are not cleaned / Too old .. Some room AC not working properly. Door Entry key always have issue.

It was my office trip when I stayed here. Too far from Airport but since it was near my workplace, I chose the hotel. It was decent. I really enjoyed the breakfast time. Room was cozy.
