Beautiful landscape. Breathtaking scenery. I can't describe how incredible it felt sitting on the edge overlooking the cliff and staring into the thick fog that day and feeling the chill air on my face. On a cloudy or foggy day, visiting this place almost feels like being transported to a different dimension altogether. Wonderful experience!

Nice viewpoint overhanging the lush green tea garden. Curly mountain roads. Netaji Subhashchandra Bose's residence and Sarat Chandra Bose 's property. Many historical memories are attached with the bungalow; but it has now lost government backing somehow.

Absolutely pretty! Doesn't feel like a place on earth, tbh. A must see place for anyone visiting Siliguri. P.S: Go with a localite from Kurseong, so that they'll take you to off beat locations that most tourists are unaware of.

The Tourism Department of the Gorkhaland Territorial Administration is developing Giddha Pahar as a tourist destination at a projected cost of INR 1,92,41,170. Giddha Pahar village, situated at about 4.3 Km (about 15 minutes-drive by car) away from Kurseong towards Siliguri, has a geographical area of 96.72 hectares and a total population of 2,768 living in about 633 houses. Giddha Pahar (Eagle's Cliff) View Point (but not the Eagle's Crag), atop one of the many hills of Kurseong, is in close proximity to the Museum of Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose; but on the other side of the Hill Cart Road. The view point is accessible by a stairway right from the roadside. One can easily enter through a gate and then climb the stairs up to the view point. The views of the rolling mountains, tea garden slopes, the snow-caped peaks and the valleys are all awful visual delight from the view point, of course, on a clear day for any lucky guy. It is kept open daily during the day time and there is no entry fee. Vehicles may be parked by the road side. Beyond the view point, the winding Hill Cart Road continues downwards through the historic Sarat Chandra Bose house to Gidda tea factory, Gayabari and so on, at times through tea estates, towards Siliguri, side by side the toy train track.

Few kilometres from Kurseong. Must visit. Best for sunrise and you can enjoy the 360degview from the gidda view point. You can visit this place from Kurseong by walk. It will take around 30-40 minutes to reach the view point. I'll suggest to go little further down the hill from the view point and you will find a few cliffs there. For those who love less crowded places and to just sit alone.
