I have visited Ghurni, a craft place at Krishnanagar, Nadia, West Bengal. The place is famous for clay craft God and Goddess idols. I have done a region survey with Mr Sanjoy Sarkar, who is an artist and manufacturer. He has his craft store named Sanjay Sarkar itself. I have given a design workshop assignment by EPCH, Kolkata which has to be conducted with 30 artisans along with one master craft person. It is an opportunity to explore the place and understand the culture of the Ghurni clay craft and its age-old traditional craft.

Very pleasant environment. A well facilities for a grand picnic. The garden is really beautiful. Everywhere sitting facilities available too. Great to spend some time here in winter with family and friends. You must come and have a visit.
