Beautiful location to hear a Sunday morning as it set up on a hill and there are stairs to reach to the top about 100+ steps. There's parking space at the base of this church. Church is a small one but simply beautiful one. When you enter you feel the calm and peace of nature coupled with good pristine air. During monsoon, this place looks even more beautiful with the surrounding turning green.
If you happen to live in or around Ghodbunder please do visit this place. It looks and feels the way a Church has to be, nothing fancy, very simple yet very beautiful. There is something about this place, it makes your heart be at peace. It's a small church with a lot of historic importance. It looks beautiful from within, the tile work, the altar it just looks different. Unlike the jilmil jhatag that you see in churches today. It was pleasant sight. It's usually closed and there is a service once in a month. Surrounding area is clean and kept well. Oh BTW there is some Baba ka grave exactly at the entrance of the church, don't know the purpose. The watchman / caretaker will open the church in case you want to sit inside and pray. It's very peaceful. The view from there is spectacular, it has the sea on side. The only problem some of them might face is that you have to climb some 100+ step to reach there. A small cardio workout
One of the oldest and beautiful churches in Thane Ghodbunder. If you stay in Thane you need to Visit the church once.
This church demands that you first exercise physically before spiritually by climbing 213 stairs, but all worth it for the view from the top of the hill. Mass only on 1st Sunday of every month at 10:00 a.m., but this place is ace if you just want to pray amidst nature.
One of my friends insisted so visited Our Lady of Hope Church on 15-04-2018 for the Feast. A lovely experience of climbing the small mountain to reach the Church. Really a very good arrangements made by the Church Members. I would love to visit it often.

It seems to be a nice place from pics and reviews. But when one calls the mentioned landline no one answers. The number takes you to St.John the Baptist Church/Office. Thane. We are residing very close to that church and it's very convenient for us to go for our Sunday masses. We are interested in knowing the mass timings. Somebody has mentioned in his/her review that it's facing the sea. There's no sea on Ghodbunder road. It's a river.
