Ghataprabha Bird Sanctuary Dhupadal - Park in Konnur Rural, Dhupadal - Belagavi, India

There are no birds , one can see inspection bungalow and dupdhal dam instead. Heard there are boats which carry people to that bird sanctuary but we didn't see any boat nor birds. Just one time visit would be enough. It's not well maintained. There is ample place to park vehicle.

Ghataprabha Bird Sanctuary and Dhupdal Dam are situated around 15 kms from Gokak town. Both are recognized Tourist destinations in Belagavi district from the Department of Tourism. It's a small sanctuary which is an island in the midst of Ghataprabha river backwaters of Dhupdal Dam. Variety of migratory birds can be seen between the months of November and March from the Dam using a Binocular as the boating facility is not yet started in the reservoir/backwaters of the Dam. A beautiful garden is developed near the Dam which is nice for the visitors to relax in the shades of the trees. Dam is beautiful to see during the month of rainy season in full flow waters which attracts hundreds of tourists every day and also in the off season people come here for picnic. The bird sanctuary has been wrongly marked on this map. It is located at Dhupdal Inspection Bungalow.

Birds are not visible and surrounded nature is good.

Nothing like sanctuary is present here. Only a small garden with check dam, not well maintained, can be seen if you don't have anything else to do timepass

The bird sanctuary has been marked wrongly on the map. It is located at Dhupadal IB where weir(low head dam) exists. It lacks basic infrastructure such as watch tower for viewing birds and a proper guide.

Not maintained, no cleanliness like before no greenery inspite of abundance of water flow

A nice place to stay calm and relax. When I went it was not the time of the year when you could see many birds, but it's a great treat if you go at the time when the birds are there.
