Getalsud Dam View Point - Tourist attraction in Hurputoli, Getalsud - Ranchi, India

Getalsud Dam is an artificial reservoir situated in Ormanjhi, Ranchi, Jharkhand. It was constructed across the Subarnarekha River and was opened in 1971. It is a popular picnic spot for the residents of Ranchi and Ramgarh District. The dam provides a small-scale fishing opportunity to the local people of Rukka.

The view point of Getalsud dam is a good spot to connect with the visit to Hundru Falls. Most of the time water is not allowed to flow along the river and fall at Hundru. The water is retained in the dam and diverted into a canal. The water rushes out of the dam with great power. There is no 'picnic facility' at the dam, but the time you spend here is memorable.

Very good, can go with family and enjoy the nature. Very calm and peaceful area. In and around area filled with trees and that's feel awesome. In winter season it is best near Ranchi.
