George everest Base - Tourist attraction in Mussorie Range - Dehradun, India

The view is great. You can drive till the base after which you'll need to trek 1.2km or take a shared vehicle (costs 100) to reach to the base (the park) which was the the office cum residence of George Everest. The government has developed this as a heritage in his memory and contributions. There'll be parking charge of Rs50. There is another peak at top with elevated and better view but the trek is steep. Small shops are available here for light refreshments.

Very much photogenic place. You need to walk around 1.5 km to reach the place. After that you may trek further to visit the topmost place on the mountain which gives you very good view from top. Helicopter ride is available from base which costs around 5000 per person.

It was a fun evening. You need to do a short, cool and peaceful trek of a little more than 1 km to reach the everest's house or alternatively there are electric vehicles which take those who would not be able to walk. It was also cleaner than most of the tourist spots around that we visited.

A place far away from the hustle and bustle of tourists in Mall Road of Mussoorie, George Everest trek is a beautiful respite. The 20mins trek is good for beginners, would recommend starting earlier during summers as it can get a little warm during mid day. One can enjoy the scenic beauty from the peak.

This place has a great sight of the mighty himalayas, a beautiful picnic spot, and a further trek to higher spot for camping and watching the beautiful valley and mountains surrounding the city. Can be enjoyed on clear sunny day, cloudy rainy day, and even in cold windy day It beholds the restored house of Sir George Everest, the scientist who was called upon to prepare the map of India and measure the height of Mt. Everest, after which the mountain is named

This place is very mesmerizing and one of its kind. It's a tourist spot from where you can explore the George Everest Peak through trekking. This place generally remains cold due to its high altitude. You can use a cart if you don't want to go to the base by walking.

Small and simple trek to an amazing peak where you will find good view points, aesthetic photo backgrounds and the thing I liked the most, fresh air. There are 2 ways, one is a small left turn just before the George everest park, which is a little more adventurous, a little more steep and exciting. If you love trekking, use that way else use the regular way which is comparatively easy and you'll find more people on this route. There is a air ride also at the base camp which you can avail. Overall, a good place for travellers.
