Another beautiful monastery in Kalimpong. This is a Must visit as well. We could not go inside as it was closed that day and hour, but the outside view is so tremendously beautiful and awestruck us that we sat there for the view and amazingly peaceful vibrations. Visiting monasteries have become my favourite thing post these two (Durpin) monasteries visit. The beauty of this monastery is the huge Buddha statue in Gold facing the city. It's amazing. There is also a museum in the premises.
The most beautiful monastery in Kalimpong. What makes it more appealing, is the Buddha statue with a panoramic view of the city in the background. The building is beautifully designed and painted with many manuscripts stored inside. The Lama took us to the next building which houses a museum having ancient artifacts and relics. We went around 1 pm and it was about to be closed, so you should check the timing. A Must visit.
The paintings on the wall are breathtaking. Also, the way they are maintaining the Tibetan history and culture is worth an applause.
