Gavi is an Eco-Tourism a project of the Kerala Forest Development Corporation located in Pathanamthitta district, Kerala. Gavi, located in Pathanamthitta district offers its visitors activities like trekking, wildlife watching, outdoor camping in specially built tents, and night safaris.
Gavi is an eco tourism spot undertaken by Kfdc department. Recently kdfc has promoting Gavi via social media. I traveled and came here by Ksrtc bus from Kumuli. You can spend a whole day to spend here with natural sceneries and surrounding village people . If you have distributed from city lifestyle and to have a peace mentallyz this place is for you. If you are single travelers, kindly take KSRTC bus from Kumuli and Pathinamthitaa daily service at 5.30am. They have charged Rs78 per person from Kumuly to Gavi forest. Please make sure that only BSNL towers work around this entire area. It was thrilling and amazing experience. You feel like you are only person in the forest dense road. Once you come to Gavi , then go to office and resister for a package Rs1690 per person. Personally I felt it's not much worthy. If you don't like to spend here there is an another o places called as Kochupamba boating area famous for boating and trekking also worth of money. The main drawback was less connectivity and no network around those place as this is the forest reserve area. I reached Kochupamba with help of Village people. Please don't take risk in this area by just watching Youtube channels.
Wonderful place and worth a visit. If luck, you can encounter wild animals. It is a dense forest.

Gavi Ecotourism, situated in Pathanamthitta district, encourages online ticket booking. After confirming online, obtain your entry ticket manually at the first entry point, around 500 meters left from the main road. Remember to purchase lunch, fill water bottles, and grab snacks for refreshments, as there are no facilities beyond the checkpost. Enjoy the chance to spot various wild animals, including elephants, wild squirrels, Lion-tailed macaques, gaurs, pigs, and monkeys during your visit.
Located at an altitude of 3400 ft above sea level, Gavi is famous for its unique flora and fauna. Gavi makes a handy base camp for deep jungle trekkers, birdwatchers, and nature lovers.

The stunning panoramic view of the holy Sabarimala temple if you hike for 15mins is a visual treat. The place is serene and you can breath the fresh air. This hike is a must while you're in Gavi. Entry is restricted and prior booking with KFDC is req
