This fort has an awesome vibe. If you are an adventure lover you definitely have to visit this one. Less people visit it on weekdays. But the weekend is good. If you are planning to visit, please own a vehicle because no public transport is actively working in this route. You have to go through a small small shared taxi. Be safe if couples are going and the family is going because the location is remotely preserved. But the valley view from the top of the fort is mesmerizing. Garh Kundar (also spelled Gadhkudhar) is a small village in the city of Tikamgarh, Niwari district of Madhya Pradesh. It has been named so after the splendid fort, or "Garh", of Kundar located here. From 925 to 1507 AD, Garh Kundar fort witnessed many battles and bloodshed. Yashovarma Chandel (925-940 AD) built the fort after conquering south western Bundelkhand. In the battle between Prithviraj Chauhan and the Chandels in 1182 AD fort commander. Shayaji Parmar lost and the fort came under Prithviraj Chauhan. Then Rajput King Prithviraj Chauhan appointed Khetsingh Khangar as the ruler of this fort who founded the Khangar Dynasty afterwards.

One of the mysterious fort of India. It is now under control of "The M.P. Ancient Monuments and Archaeological Sites and Remains Act, 1964". Entry charge - entry is free. There is nothing any charge. About the fort - It is situated in Niwari district of M.P. The fort is built at the top of a hill and has five stories, in which two are underground and three are above it. The fort is built in such a orientation that it is visible from 5 km but as one keeps on coming near to it, the fort seems to be away from sight and the main road gets diverted to any other direction. If you are planning to go there, observe as mention above and the important thing is that please keep drinking water and some food along with you because the fort is in remote area.
Amazing fort and a very nice view from the top of the fort. Its in a secluded place and not many people would know about it or even plan to visit. If you are inclined or interested in historical places, this place definitely is a visit to be planned for.
