Garden Homes 1 & 6 - Holiday home in Kolhapur - Kolhapur, India

Very bad experience. Too many terms and conditions in what to use and what not to use. The biggest joke was the Air Conditioner which was in the lounge, apparently we were told that we never use it and it's a dummy. Very dodgy. The guy who gave us the key was so rude as if he is doing a favour on us and we literally paid for it. Very very very very poor hospitality. Not at all recommendable. Fruits kept on the dinning table were so old and wilted. Felt like Waste of money booking this place.

We consider this beautiful flat a holiday home for us. We take a halt every single time we pass through Kollapur enroute to Bangalore, Goa, Hyderabad or any other city from Mumbai. The flat has one of the most beautiful view with a tree on terrace and overlooking the city and fields. The flat is aesthetically designed with every finer aspect taken care of. The kitchen and washroom is always well stocked up. The bedroom has comfortable beds, AC and sufficient blankets. The living room is spacious and hosts a handy kitchen. All necessary electronics are made available. I just wish for an upgrade to the Television Set. The owner is a great host, everytime we request for a home cooked Kollapur Mutton and Chicken thali for dinner and we have never been disappointed. I will strongly recommend this place for stay and wish could give more than 5 stats.

It's one of the best places in kolhapur to stay best views, lovely pictures set up, clean almost like staying abroad, well equiped, very good hosts. It's just a very cute, cozy and perfectly modern place to stay. Just enjoy

The stay at this property was flawless. Not only was the property was well maintained, Vipin was always available if and when needed, and i was happy to note that, we didn't need to reach out to anyone much because everything was spic and span. The beds were comfortable and the view was lovely. All in all, it was absolutely worth the bucks. Thank you for the lovely experience!

A very homely and a comfortable apartment with all the facilities. Like living in a home away from home. The owner Mr. Kharbanda takes utmost care to make you feel welcome. You won't need to get anything except your clothes. They have two apartments, one with a garden and one without. The one with the garden is very beautiful with breathtaking views. Food is available on Zomato or swiggy. Overall a wonderful experience staying here.

Poorly maintained flat with no hospitality or service! Looking at the pictures, i decided to stay at this property. I was keen on the 1bhk penthouse but the owner said it was booked and gave a 2 bhk instead in the same building. Since i was carrying my pet pug, i was looking at pet friendly accommodations. To my surprise this place was such a downer. We are a well traveled family and have stayed in the best accommodations, i must say we were totally disappointed. its going to be a long feedback so please read carefully and then take a call. We traveled from Bangalore and arrived at this old building in a pretty posh area and were greeted by the security's wife Kausalya who was rude in behaviour on the first day but kind of mellowed down. Vipin the owner of the flat called her to give us the keys. Seeing the building itself was quite a put-off. After 11 hrs of travel, we just wanted a place to settle down rather than go hunting for a place as we were there for 2 days for a family event and needed a place just to sleep. > We walk into the flat which is on the first floor which smelled damp and all the room fresheners had run out. Luckily we carried our own room fresheners and sanitizers (oh yes we went prepared as we were ready for surprises, but not like the ones we had). > a 2bhk flat if the owners had put in the effort to maintain it and come and check the place regularly, it would be worth paying every penny. The sofas were ripped, there were lizards and roaches which we were trying to chase, Jesus. Old sofas so low that elders and people with knee issues would need support to get up. Walls were damp and you can see paint chipped off in many places. > The mat at the entry of the house smelled of dog pee (probably of the previous guests who were there with a pet). > old looking bedsheets which made me think twice to use so borrowed a few bedsheets from my aunt, and i had carried enough of pillow covers. Forget using the towels kept for guests ;-) > thank heavens the bathroom looked clean, as that was our main concern but the water was brownish in colour and the same with the filter water, one would never dare drink that water. The bathroom had used bottles of shampoo and other liquids which we thought were kept for the new guests. Hygiene and cleanliness is something these people had overlooked during these covid times. I had already pre-paid them a deposit and we did not have a choice but to stay in the place for 2 days, never to visit such a place again. People please research well and take a call, dont go by the pictures posted on social media especially on air bnb. Except for the property being pet friendly nothing seemed attracted about the Garden Homes which is no where close to Garden homes. I always give good feedback but this is an honest feedback for fellow travelers visiting kolhapur, the owner or his son weren't courteous enough to come and check on us or respond to our feedback, hope they pay attention to these details. Instead they were insisting us on paying the remaining amount second day of our stay because I'm sure they knew that people will check out looking at the place. They were more greedy for the money than hospitality and even when i shared the feedback on whatsapp with the pictures, the owner sends me his bank details for payment. Poor hospitality overall.

I am so appreciative that there exists a place that values customer service with so much vigour. The property was well maintained and very clean. Vipin and his son were phenomenal hosts, helped us make our Kolhapur experience a huge success. From making our itinerary , to recommending us places to visit, to what local cuisines to try, and where to find them. They were just a phone call away ; I never sensed any irritation or displeasure in their voice even after calling them for the 6th time in the same evening. They were always very warm. I look forward to next time. It is refreshing to see family values still remain at the forefront. It is an example of how business should be done and is a lost art. Keep up the great work. Keep doing this and you've made a customer for life.
