Loved the food. So delicious.. just like my mom's food... very homely. Will go again chicken curry, moong daal, alu potol and alu bhaja were the best...

I ABSOLUTELY love this place, partly because it's not pretentious. It shows what it offers- friendly hosts , homely Bengali food (not like authentic Calcutta Bengali food, rather authentic Asansol Bengali food - yes there's a huge difference ! ), normal seating arrangement (kind of pice hotels) . So yes, a must try if you like the simplicity and bit real taste of asansol meal.

The price is not suitable for any normal person, quality is good though dine in and take out is ready but be prepared for the rush inside the hotel during peak times of the day otherwise it's gonna be a good experience, would be better if prices were set in the reach of common man

Very shocking experience. An old pice hotel with such typical ambience that too inside a court premises with such shocking high price for food items is simply not expected. The suprising part is that they don't even show any menu with otem prices. They simply tell you verbally and you have to pay. We were charged 1100 for two bhetki fish fry which we call simple maach bhaja in Bengali, that too wasn't original bhetki fish. When told about the fish, they immediately reduced the price by 200 rupees on the bill. That's not fair business probably . Food taste was average for the veg thali and fish was over fried. Food lovers like us who explore and enjoy delicacies should provide genuine feedback. So did I. Seems over priced. Be careful before ordering. Thanks.

Actually this place is over hyped it's a fraudulent place. You won't find a menu card or board on it. I'm astonished that minikit rice alu bhaja dal aluposto papad costs Rs. 160 per plate in such a dull atmosphere where fan properly not works and people think it's good place to eat. Actually not I have tried the mutton as well it's dull and blunt in size it's is big as it should be. And overall taste is below rated. Kolkata footpaths stall vendors providing much better thali in Rs. 50 .

The hotel is looks ordinary but when it's comes to bill... It's as similar as a five star restaurant... Rate is Too much high for lower middle class

I have been traveling to this area for a long time to get Mamabari Asansol, but I never thought that I would ever go out and eat without Mamabari's rice. There is no extreme heavy fun slap in the face of mamabarira khati! However, in the interest of being a foodie and food seeker, in search of good food, one can reach by sniffing. The Ganges Hotel is the centerpiece of Asansol Court. The name of this tin-tipped hotel is in the mouths of Asansol residents. The main attraction is their mill Rs 160 rupees for a full meal, vegetable mill, it contains rice, ghee, fried, pulses, 2 kinds of vegetables, chutney, panpar, salad. And meat is a different price As we took the mutton the price was Rs 150. The weight of 1 piece is about 120 grams. Doesn't the price seem high? Yes, the price is a little higher but better

Cooking was very good but the price is very high, it's good for the people who has money in their pockets, not for every day eating. Moog dal, sabji is so delicious like my mother's cooking
