Ganesh Ghat - Scenic spot in Dombivli - Thane, India

Too Good Place for morning walk & sunset view. But unfortunately most neglected place by municipal corporation. People are not bothered about flora and fauna in this area. They throw Pooja Waste and all other type of plastic indiscriminately. Lots of people enjoy parties here by carrying heavy stuff but while going back they will abuse this place with their garbage. They don't even think while breaking their glass bottles that they might be coming back to same place and might get hurt too. Humble Request to all to preserve this walkers paradise

Scenic place to visit especially during sunset. Only drawback is you will find plastic garbage all over the shores of this creek which is unpleasant to experience

As the name suggests , it is usually a huge creek located in old Dombivli ( west) where Immersions of Lord Ganesha takes place during the 10day Ganesh festival. Apart from that, people come to spend time here or take take a stroll around in the evenings. Don't be surprised if you find a Dhol Tasha group practicing or group of photographers just shooting around. There is even a ferry ride available to & fro till 6pm. Sunsets are blissful to watch. Recommended to go in groups & take your own vehicle or else arrange for a vehicle till this place as getting an auto back is a task.

Beautiful looking location. You can spot a great sunset here. There is alot of foul smell though due to the filth by filthy Indians. It would be better during monsoon.

Great place to watch sunset. During high tide water touches the first step of the ghat. Ganpati and Devi idols immersion takes place here during respective festivals. People also come here for the walk and to do yoga. Cleanliness required by the local municipal corporation.

A very peaceful and beautiful place in Kopar, Dombivli. If you tired in city crowd then you will definitely love this place. In morning and evening people came here for long walk. You can come here with your loved one to spend some quality time. But I could suggest that one should come here in 4 pm to 6 pm. Because of threat of smokers and alcoholic drunken peoples are there most of time. They not hurt you probably but we can't guarantee. One should not take risk. One should leave the place after sunset. And the best thing is the Sunset View. Very lovely Sunset offer this place. Benches are there for seating. Shelter is there for shadow. Some trees are there. But there is no shops near this place so one should better carry the water bottle and food. No public washroom is there. And one thing is you may find lots of garbage around. People don't think about nature and just throw the garbage in that river. One should keep maintain their surrounding. In Ganpati festival, people came here for Ganesh Visarjan. Thats why the place name is Ganesh ghat. Ulhas River flows here and meet to thane creek. This is Ulhas Riverfront point. Kataldhara waterfalls (Lonavla) is a origin of Ulhas River. It flows From Lonavla to thane. It Covers 100s of kilometres and meet to thane creek. Here you can find "Aapta Tree". The leaves of tree may gives to each other in "Dussehra Festival" as a symbol of Gold (wishes of prosperity). The place is 15-20 min walking distance from Kopar East Railway station and same distance from Dombivli.

Ganesh ghat is the place in Juni Dombivli located beside creek. It's a remote place where people usually go for morning and evening walk and having fresh air. As many locals visits this place local corporate made this place more pleasant by making platform and sitting arrangements. From this place you can see beautiful sunset. Mostly nearby people immerse their Lord Ganesha idols during Maghi Ganapati and Ganesh Chaturthi festivals. There is facility to take boat ride in the creek.
