Ganesh Ghat - Tourist attraction in Tezpur - Sonitpur, India

Went there during Chhatth puja. It is a clean and well maintained ghat.

Went there early morning and all I could say about this play is peaceful, serene, beautiful. All the academic stress were long forgotten when I sat there and admire the beautiful sun glazed waves of water.

Ganesh ghat is nearby agnigarh you can go by walking. There is a beautiful Ganesh Temple near the ghat probably the name arises from here. There is a small park too where you can relax during summers and enjoy the view of river Brahmaputra. The maintenance is however not up to the mark and cleanliness is also not proper. It can be a potential tourism hotspot if infrastructure is developed properly.

The sunset is very beautiful to watch. Especially the golden hour. There is a Shani Temple and a Ganesh Temple near the ghat. A small shop is there to buy diyas, agarbatti, etc. Boats are also available for rowing on paid service. There are a lot of mosquitoes so it is helpful to wear covered clothes like Jeans, Full sleeves and shoes. No ticket is required to visit this place. It is free.
