Ganesamoni Hospital - Hospital in Nagercoil - Kanniyakumari, India

I visited Ganesamoni hospital in April 2023 for a urinary tract infection I had. Dr Raghuram prescribed antibiotics after doing urine culture test and blood test. After the antibiotics course was over, I visited the hospital again and did a routine urine test. The test result said there was no sign of infection and so the medicines were discontinued. Unfortunately, on the evening of that day itself, I felt a slight discomfort while urinating and so visited the hospital again the next day and repeated the routine test. The result was positive for infection and so I was asked to give a culture test. After giving the sample, I was asked to consult with Dr Raghuram for medicines to be prescribed for two days till the culture result came. Dr Raghuram's behaviour towards me on that day was as unprofessional as a doctor can behave towards a patient. First, even before seeing the culture result, he started talking about giving antibiotic injection(IV) by simply assuming that the same strain of bacteria that had infected me first had caused a reinfection. A professional would have waited for the test result to come before talking about treatment. After the culture result came, it turned out that it was a different strain of bacteria that caused the infection, requiring another different antibiotic prescription and that too only in tablet form. Also, when I first consulted him and gave a blood test, the nurse who took my blood did it in a wrong way that caused a pigmentation/scar at the prick point on my skin. I consulted with three dermatologists and they all concurred that the needle prick was not done properly. So, naturally, when Dr Raghuram mentioned IV therapy to me, I was aghast and expressed my fears to him. Again a doctor who cares about his patients should have at least said something to reassure me. Instead he started defending his nurses and coolly asked me to ignore these as "side effects", comparing my situation with seriously ill patients/accident victims for whom while doing some major surgery, scarring on the skin is inevitable. My age-old father who has multiple urinary problems also used to go to him for treatment and he and my mother were very appreciative of Dr Raghuram since he used to patiently listen and clear my mother's doubts about my father's treatment. But that day he said my family had so far been taking up all his time, making other patients complain about their long waiting time. He also said if I wanted a treatment without such "side effects", I should go to cities like Chennai and not try for treatment in hospitals such as his in Nagercoil. What sort of doctor talks like this? Needless to say, I am taking his advice and will never ever again go to Ganesamoni hospital for treatment nor would I recommend it to anyone. Update: Dr Raghuram, is this how you spoke to me that day I came to you for treatment after the blood test? If you had, there would have been no need for me to write this review. This only goes to show that you speak differently when people are watching you than when you are alone with the person you are addressing, like a chameleon. There was no call to go for IV, especially when the patient was anxious. You should learn this from Chennai doctors, who are cool and take into consideration the patient's feelings. You did eventually give only tablets. Even if you had felt the need for IV, you presented it to me in the worst way possible. Also, the day I am talking about, in April, we had not even mentioned our shifting to Chennai. You are blatantly lying in this public space to save your face. What if my parents had mentioned to you that city treatment is better in general? As a doctor, you should try to prove them wrong. Instead, you shamelessly told me that day to get better treatment in Chennai. You also talked about my parents' long consultation times in a condescending tone. And for your kind information, the pigmentation caused by your incompetent nurse still has not completely gone off. Look at your patients as humans with feelings first. Then we can talk about God. Dr Raguram Ganesamoni is a great excellent outstanding doctor and is extremely professional.I have been a patient of Dr.Raguram for over 10 years now and i can genuinely say he is the best urologist.I can highly recommend Dr.Raguram to anyone looking for top-notch urologist.I am very happy to have Dr.Raguram as my doctor Always on time,No need to wait,Easy to talk and Relates exceptionally well.

you wont get trust from this hospital. Paying 92k to the hospital but looks like too bad answer from Dr. Raguram. He scares the patient and didn't tell anything to patient and relation. He wont took any test after 6 days from surgery but he replied you had infection still meanwhile he is giving injection trips for the whole 6 days. 1.Dr. Raguram will not show removed fragment stone which was removed. but jayashekaran hospital will show and handed over. 2. He will not show the picture laminated stone and stent placed . jayashekaran hospital will show and handed over. 3. esp. for insurance he will keep patient for 8 days. 4. for this 8 days he will injecting DNS, Electrolyte, medicine and at last water will accumulated in the head. I suffered this one. 5. Scaring the people like you had UTI infection, fever will come , stay in ICU for three days if you were good. 6. I think there is No calibrated equipment in this hospital. 3 same equipment showing different reading at a time. if anyone have decision to go this hospital change your plan and go to KIMS or Jeyashekaran . If any educated asking question before admit he will explain smooth but after surgery his reply will change slightly in a different manner.
