This is a wonderful place to visit since it can be called the centre of eastfort. A huge space with gardens, rest area, trees, flowers etc. It's atmosphere is calm and soothing. But rush on evenings. People come to relax and chill here. There is plenty of car parking area here. But we have to pay an amount of 20/- for car parking. We can go to Padmanabha Swamy temple directly from there. Also there is Chala market in the opposite side. Passages are there for each.
After having lunch at hotel Mubarak , we needed some rest so visited Gandhi park and park is well maintained and chairs are available to sit and relax . You can see the locals People's reading news papers and students chilling around and it's a bus stand area too opposite to park Sri padmanabha temple is situated.
Good place for morning n evening walk n seating for relaxing near padmanaswamy temple. City centre . City Bus stand here only . Vegetable market, all purpose Market Shree Ganpati temple is also here. Cool place coz of many trees n plants in the park .

Small park opposite to the shree padhmanabha temple arch, not so well maintained but small events like independence day, youth protest, social events will be conducted here. I visited on independence day
Any park in the heart of any city is always a pleasure. They a small dias too to hold small functions. It can get real hot at noon, but the trees there do provide some relief. There is a small playground for the children too.
I visited this place for need to park my car .. i come to chalai market place and i get this park to parking my car . For the car they charge 20 rs as the parking cost.. it was very affordable and this place very useful to who come to shop in chalai market. Mostly this place was too crowded but we come on the weekdays so it was not much crowded. We get the place for parking also
