Good hospital. The doctors are kind and well informed. They only admit the patients if they can be treated and if the patient's treatment is not within their capabilities they will politely tell you so. Unlike other hospital, they don't take you in, waste your time and charge unnecessarily. The food fine, the staff are also ok. Except a few, everybody is polite. Parking space is limited.
Best quality service. I was admitted in Gandhi hospital for my second delivery under care of Dr Chayalatha. Since baby was in breech condition, I had to go thru c section. Overall experience was smooth for 4 days I was admitted. I had selected special ward without AC. They have deluxe and super deluxe rooms as well. They have all the facilities inside the building, including canteen, lab, pharmacy etc. Rooms are neatly maintained. As per the package one person staying with patient gets food service thrice a day as well. Gynecologist Dr Chayalatha, Pediatrician Dr Guruprasad Shetty, resident doctors, lacataion experts, staff and nurse all are polite and caring, and took care of me and our newborn. Night staff was also very patient and caring. I recommend Gandhi hospital to anyone who is seeking quality medical service in Udupi. -Suchitra and Pravinkumar Shetty
Pricewise Very Very Costly KMC is having much much better facility with cheaper price. Simply they will write one line in bill and add 2000+ nursing fees ok acceptable on top of that injection fees separate not included in nursing if u have nebulization that is separate fees all medical item we have to bring they are just coming room and switching on plug. we don't know then what is nursing fees if we pay each service separately. their bill is not justifiable. if u want to enquire billing staff will say you cant talk to anyone this is our price that is their words. Hospital is very good. I got admitted due to dengue fever and Dr. Suresh Hegde was a god sent blessing. Highly recommend this hospital.
It's the worsht hospital i have seen .At the midnight when we came for emergency the security was sleeping the hopital gates were closed after so many minutes they came and they doesn't know how to treat patients well and they make us us to wait hours even after scheduling the time

I used their services for my child birth. Overall hospital facilities and the nursing services are best for the city standard. Nurses are really approachable and caring. Labour room nurses were knowledgeable and caring too. Customer service staffs are co operative as well. Recommended for gynec services.
The emergency staff and the duty officer is really cooperative and kind. As a tourist my infant daughter fell sick and they took good care of her.
