Nice tourist place. Recommended visit at evenings. There is a rail road with train for kids around the hills. Will be a great experience for kids.
A great monument as a token of respect and memory about Gandhi ji. It's very near to railway station from platform no: 10 way. Vehicles are allowed inside (above the hill) and fare need to be paid by cash. Earlier steps way is there which was destroyed now. Monument, small canteen, kids play ground will be there. Public toilets are there but were not in use. A small train facility is there in which they take us around the hill for a while for which we need to pay in cash. City view will be very good from here (good to see small small houses on hills) check out photos and videos uploaded by me for reference.
For the first time I visited Gandhi Hill yesterday. I loved the place. It's the best for children and family members to relax and njoy the nature. The view of vijayawada city is next level but have implement or develope this place
I have been to this place from my childhood and now its developed alot. The path to the hill, play area, stupa and the toy train everything well developed. A nice place to spend time in the evenings. Only thing currently missing is the planetarium. We were informed that it would be in place along with a museum by 2020.

A perfect place in the whole of Vijayawada city with a wonderful, scenic and a beautiful view of both sunrise and sunset. Beautifully maintained with a children's park and on top of the hill is the gandhi stupa which has a long history. During the evening there is a toy train ride which is nice that costs you Rs.20/- per head. The entrance ticket per person is Rs.5/- per head and for vehicle entrance ticket is Rs.10/- per head. Near the children's park there is a canteen that will charge you with more than the mrp, so better to carry your own bottle and food items.
