The thing that could be done to increase the scenic view and improve the ecological balance is to have a proper vegetation cover on both sides of the river. It will stabilize the river water level during all seasons because the ghat has a dam next to it. In the rainy seasons when the lock gates open, the water level rises rapidly and sometimes end up flooding the nearby living areas. You can enjoy the river by boat. You can enjoy the tea, corn, ice cream from nearby shop.Having a good vegetation cover not only will help in beautification but also will reduce the chance of a flood because the trees will stabilize the river water level round the year. The sound of the box are very loud there. Good place to visit.

This place is beautiful. If you want to spend your evening time with friends then you go there. There are many food stalls . There is an audio system by which you feel the evening moment with songs. There is a lot of tables for sitting. You can find the most beautiful scenes here .

It is a very beautiful place to visit in medinipur. In the morning and afternoon it looks more gorgeous. The big tree,the river,the sitting benches and the yallow lights are just creating a magical environment here. Yes, I have visited the place,and I think everyone should visit it atleast once. Very good spot to visit and also child friendly. Nice place to visit for morning till evening. River Ghaat is constructed by the Medinipur Municipality is truly commendable. Hope this place will become one of the best ecofriendly tourist spot in our District.

Nice destination for the local people to fresh their mind. A small park is here. Car parking is not available, though we can park bike. Not a picnic location.
