The deities of Kottarakkara Sree Mahaganapathy Kshethram are Lord Shiva, Goddess Parvati, Lord Ganesha, Lord Murugan, Lord Ayyappan and Nagaraja. Even though the main deity is Shiva, the main priority is given to his son Ganesha. The temple pond found in front of the temple is huge and attracts the pilgrims. Provision to enter / dip the feet is available in the side of the pond.

The temple is known as kottarakkara ganapathy temple. But the main god worshiped here is God Shiva. God ganapathy is also worshiped here.. The temple pond is very Big. Which is situated on the front side of the temple. Unniyappam produced here is very famous and its very tasty with reasonable price.. There is a very good parking area.
