The panoramic beauty of this location is why I love it. Many hills surround the dam. Additionally, there is the stunning Subernarekha River. You can see the live fishing by some fisher man. The best time to go during the rainy days
It's a wonderful tourist attraction in Galudih. Must visit if you're around for a weekend trip here. You'll love the place. Of course, a great spot for a photo shoot.
If you are in Ghatshila (Jharkhand), Galudih dam is a must visit place. The spectacular sundown through the sky canvas into the Subarnarekha will simply mesmerize you. The serenity of the place and the nature is astonishing. You can go for a day's visit to Ghatshila from Belpahari, or, directly reach Ghatshila by train.

One of the completed barrage of Subarnarekha Multipurpose Project. Best time of visit is late monsoon to see the full fledged Beauty of river subarnarekha.
The dam is built on Subarnarekha river near Ghatshila. Beautiful sunset can be viewed from here..Local people caught fishes from the river and sold there .A nice walk across the brigde to view the dam.Elegant and beautiful one. Everything is good here except the road. The road condition is poor and pathetic. I recommend to visit this place generally in winter season. Location:-Ulda, East Singhbhum district, Jharkhand,832304, India
On the way towards Ghatshila from Jhargram this barrage attracts every passerby. The place is not much of a tourist spot but the beauty is beyond compare. A nice walk across the brigde to view the dam. Elegant and beautiful one. Located few kilometres away from Ghatsila on Subarnarekha river. The sheer size and scale is what startled me. It's a multipurpose dam on Subarnarekha river and an important centre for the industrial cities near by. Easily accessible by roads.
