Would need a little investement but anyway worth the visit. Amazing views. Monkeys are calm if not provoked. We walked all the way from gate and it was a nice change to noisy city. Its all nature with great views.

Galta Ji is a site consisting of a series of temples built into a narrow crevice in the ring of hills that surround Jaipur. A natural spring emerges high on the hill and flows downward, filling a series of sacred water tanks where pilgrims bathe. Galtaji is an ancient Hindu pilgrimage about 10 km away from Jaipur, in the Indian state of Rajasthan. The site consists of a series of temples built into a narrow crevice in the ring of hills that surrounds Jaipur. Religion aside this temple is also quite famous for the friendly monkey you'll see there. And believe me there are a lot of monkeys.

GO GO GO!! Truly remarkable, stunning, lots & lots & lots of monkeys!! One of my best experiences over two years of traveling!! I thought this place was going to be packed, there were times I was literally the only person in the place!! It was truly a wonderful experience. I highly suggest walking the entire length. There are some vendors and Tuk Tuk drivers that will offer peanuts or a ride to the temple, they don't push to hard. There might be a couple people asking for money as well, but nothing to aggressive. Waking the full length will take you pass some old buildings, which is situated in top of a hill. After you pass the first set of buildings, you walk along a dirt road. There's brush, trees, and great pictures ahead!! You will reach the top of the hill and then descend down to Monkey Temple, which will offer more awesome pictures. Offer 200 or 300 donation at the entrance to the monkey temple, which will make the care takers happy. That's $3 - $4 U.S. You will never forget this place, it's truly something special and there's hundreds of monkeys on top of everything!! VISIT VISIT VISIT!

Very nice place. And some very nice buildings. The water is beautiful. It's about an 15min walk before you reach the temple but it's worth it. The monkeys are cool, but be careful if you are carrying food. They will approach you if you they smell something.

Surrounded by mountains and greenery,about 10-12 kms in east of the Pink City, the famous holy pilgrimage centre GALTAJI is situated.With many ancient and beautiful temples, you will find thousands of monkies here, if you will not bull them,bother them, they will love to get feeded in your hands otherwise may be harmful or dangerous to you.

Very bad experience, very dirty, plastic bags all along the road. The main Temple is closed since Covid and even the gate to go towards the Mandir is closed. Rs100 for carrying mobile. (Information correct at the time of writing)
