Galta Gate - Hindu temple in Jaipur - Jaipur, India

Very beautifully designed, entry point to the Galta ji temple , there are two entries for Galta ji, one from forward and another from backward . And in between there is a series of temples and the Galta ji kund ( the main attraction and devotion point ) . Went here from both sides , sometimes for kawad yatra and other for fun , roaming in the mountains.

Tourists! Please use the entry on the other side of the hill to enter, only in the case you are planning to cross the hill. Use this gate for exit only as it is easy to get taxi from this side, the other side taxis are triple or four times the price, as no one accept uber pick up that side! You will be exhausted to come back and take taxi from here. So better get drop off by an uber on other side and save yourself from taxi scam. And yes it is a beautiful historical walk with temples in mountains with lot of monkeys! A must visit!

S From starting for this temple gate ..to the end of top it makes feels better when u from up and up .. monkey temple ..a lot of monkies presence make this place a valuable ..as u behave with them in response they also behave same with u .. In morning this place is served as a morning walk place and u feel fresh and fresh In my visit I capture a lot of pictures and this places memories attract me again and again and always give a different feeling On the top of it sun temple ..and also here presence of astrology instruments by help of which u can see time anytime without help of digital clocks Visit this place once makes to come again and again From top of it u feel Jaipur

A very beautiful palace

There are two parts to this attraction - Galtaji temple/kund, which you can reach after walking say 500 m, and climbing 100-150 steps from car parking - Sun temple which is a further substantial climb from this place in the town itself. This can apparently be reached directly by Car also from the Amer fort side... We went to the first place, made a half-hearted attempt to start the climb to the second place but gave up. So the review pertains to the main temple premise. Our experience suggests that Rajasthan has well maintained monuments. This is one big exception. The buildings here are poorly kept. The place has a pervasive stink associated with overcrowded religious points...though there is no crowd here, This place no doubt has a lot of religious significance, but as a tourist, you wont miss much if you skip.
