One of the sacred places i have visited. It is Gajanan Maharaj Samadhi Temple at Shegaon. Neat, clean, calm & quiet. Safe. Systematic darshan arrangements. No chaos. There are volunteers every where to maintain cleanliness. Donations are accepted. There are Trust buses runing between railway station and temple as well as different Bhakt Niwas Bldgs of the Trust. Service is free. We stayed in Anand Vihar. Parking available in bhakt niwas. Good quality tea, coffee, snacks, lunch, dinner is provided at nominal rates. AC or Non AC ....Rooms are spaceous, clean & tidy. Attached facilities. Hot water available. Greenery around. Disciplined, courteous staff. One MUST visit this place....

The bliss and blessings of the holy souls and the aura of the dedicated souls will rejuvenate you. Must place to visit, this place is synonymous for the followers of the Gajanan Maharaj, Shirdi Sai baba and other holy saints who transform the beliefs of the worldly beings towards the infinite. Gan Gan Ganat Bote ! Shree Gajanan Maharaj ki Jay ! Shegaon Gajanan Maharaj Temple is one of the very few religious sites from where you return fully satisfied after Darshan ! Important timings: 1. Temple : 5 am to 9 pm (early morning betn 5 to 7 am is the best time for Darshan) 2. Mahaprasad in the Temple premises (should definitely have it once, at least) : 9 am to 9 pm 3. The snacks, meals in the Bhakt Niwas is served at fixed timings. You may check it once you land there. Few tips to make your trip better : 1. If possible, plan to visit on weekdays or when there's no event / festival / holiday. 2. Coconut is not accepted as an offering at the Samadhi or at the Gaddi. 3. The Temple Trust runs free bus svc 24 x 7 (freq is less during off-peak hrs and when the temple is closed). The route covers Temple, all Bhakt Niwas, Railway station and bus stand. If you are not in a hurry and not carrying a lot of luggage, recommend using it. 4. If you land at the Shegaon State transport Bus stand or Railway station, you may still use these buses for going to Bhakt niwas, to avoid negotiating with autos / tongas. 5. If you have to use autos, don't pay more than Rs 20 per seat. 6. If you are travelling in your own vehicle, there's ample free parking in the Bhakt niwas. 7. Anand Sagar (a very popular tourist attraction in Shegaon) has shut down. 8. Online booking has been discontinued at all Shegaon Bhakt niwas. You may check the Trust website before travelling for any announcements / events / notices etc. 9. All Bhakt Niwas (near Temple, Anand Vihar, Visava) are very well maintained and easily the best option to stay. They are huge and can accommodate thousands of devotees at any point. 10. Anand Vihar is the best and also the cleanest. You may have to wait in queue for 2-3 hrs during busy times. It's best to enquire about the chances of getting a room before standing in the queue. Else, better to try your luck at other niwas. 11. Checkout time is 24 hrs. If there's no rush, they may allow you to extend for 2-3 hrs. 12. On the day of checkout, it's advised to vacate your room and keep your luggage in the Store room (free svc) during rush hrs; will be of help to other families who may need acco more than you. 13. All bhakt niwas offer hygienic and quality eating options. You may never feel the need to eat outside. 14. This trust is doing an exemplary job in maintaining all premises in their control. The volunteers are hard-working, soft-spoken and help maintain cleanliness & discipline. They deserve all the respect because they do it as seva (no salary / fees) and are from well-to-do families. A local guy told me there's a waiting list for even working as a volunteer with this Trust ! 15. In the temple premises, the queues are very well managed and one never feels the stress even if accompanied with seniors, kids. 16. Laddoos' prasad can be bought from the temple premises for your family / friends back home. 17. Visit to Shegaon is an experience in itself - don't miss it.

The organization has so well managed every aspect that it will be sheer experience. 1. You can reach the place with good connectivity with bus and train 2. Devotional place of Sant Gajanan Maharaj. Very courteous staff behaviour and all the services are best here they also provide food which is also best and I also love it. I go there every time once a month with my family and also enjoy "Anand Sagar" in Shegaon which is also maintained by this institute.
