The food is good here. Authentic amritsari food. I tried the kulcha and chole and a few starters. You'll have to be patient in order to eat here because it takes a while for the food to get ready. Especially on weekends.
Good taste was good, only self service takes a bit of time after placing order but worth the wait. Don't expect any ambience here.
If you're craving authentic Punjabi food then this is THE place to go to. I'm a regular here ever since I discovered this place. The dal makhani is my favourite - creamy and smoky flavour, never had such flavourful dal makhani anywhere else (not even in a 5 star hotel). The kebabs are irresistible. Do try the egg chilli, it's wonderfully prepared. Prices are reasonable, seating is limited so make sure you're early for lunch.
Tasteless, super spicy and oily food they serve. I tried chill paneer and paneer fried rice chill paneer was so pathetic in taste full of oil and tasteless although quantity was less too... Same experience with fried rice too tasteless, less quantity and too dry.
Funky Punjab offers some lipsmacking chicken malai tikka tossed in butter with a pinch of kali mirch to enhance its taste. The chicken pieces were so tender that it just melts in my mouth and had a great balance of spices in it. Looking for a place to have a tandoori chicken starter with Punjabi tadka in it, then go nowhere else as @funky.punjab comes to your rescue. Highly recommended from my side
They serve awesome food, total authentic North Indian food and very light on pocket too.Must try for Punjabi food lovers.We tried dal makhani, paneer tikka masala, cheese kulcha and rabri everything was bang on.
The real Amritsar Food is found here. Made my way here for a fantastic Amritsari Kulcha, Lassi and Soya Chap. Pind Da Khana!! Amritsari Kulcha: Had a chance to taste this fantastic kulcha. The layers and stuffed Aloo inside the kulcha is the real magic. Desi Butter on top enhances the flavour. This stuffed kulcha could be one of the best in Bengaluru. The low tinge of Ajwain to the fantastic tandoor tossed Kulcha is a must try here. The authenticity lies in our city. Soya Chap: I was really tired of Panner. To my surprise this Soya Chap turned out to be fantastic. Soya chunks were marinated with spices and thick yoghurt. The proportion of spice balance with Soya was perfectly balanced. This is again a must try here. Sweet Lassi: Stored and refrigerated. Sweet Lassi who was humble and thick. If you are looking for some authentic Pind Da Khana, this is one of the place.
