Friends Guest House & Hostel - Agra - Hotel in Agra, Dhandhupura - Agra, India

We had an amazing few days with Joseph and Family at the Friends Guest House and Hostel, we couldn't have asked for a more welcoming and hospitable start to our India trip! The hostel is in a great location as it is so close to the Taj Mahal you can walk there. It is also in a good position for other sights like the Agra fort and close to other restaurants. Joseph is a government registered tour guide so was able to sort out all excursions for us, guide us around the Taj Mahal and show us all aspects of Agra, he was also able to help us with transport plans and recommendations for other regions of the country. The restaurant at the top of the Hostel does lovely food and drinks for a decent price and all of the staff are extremely welcoming and friendly. The rooms have great aircon allowing us to escape from the heat and good ensuite bathrooms! We couldn't recommend staying here enough if you are ever in Agra.

Nous avons eu une superbe experience dans cet hotel ! Le personnel est tres serviable et donne de bons conseils, la chambre etait propre. C'est un tres bon rapport qualite/prix ! Petit bonus : le restaurant a l'etage propose des plats delicieux. Nous sommes restes une semaine au lieu de 2 jours :)

Absolutely lovely place with lovely people. Good place for budget travellers, great food in their restaurant and very nice chef. Receptionist Johnny was always there to help, he is a very sweet person, ready with good advice, do's and don'ts in Agra. We felt very safe, would definitely recommend:)

This is a really nice budget place! The two brothers running the place were so helpful with arranging transport and book us our bus tickets. They had good suggestions of what to do and one of them is actually a tour guide. Rooms were very basic, we had no window and it felt a little fusty. Hot shower didn't work. Overall a very nice property but common areas were dusty and could need some extra attention.

This place is run by two brothers and their father who also lives in the building and is very friendly and funny. Both brothers were very frienly and helpful. The food available in the restaurant on the roof is also very tasty and cheap! The place is very worth for your money and would visit here again! Also 10-15 minutes walk to the east gate from the Taj Mahal, or a 50 rupees tuktuk ride.

This family owned hotel is very well located, 10/15 minutes from Taj Mahal. The owners are friendly and very helpful, they gave me advices on Agra and helped me with a bus ticket. The room is simple, the price low, perfect for a traveler on a budget.

Booked via hostelworld. Room was fine. Bathroom needs a fan. Staff really nice and helpful. Nice, highest terrace in the area. We didn't get the warm water working during the 1 night we stayed neither in the evening nor in the morning. 15 minutes walk to taj mahal. Restaurant a bit more expensive than those around i feel.
