Freedom Square Kozhikode - Tourist attraction in Kozhikode - Kozhikode, India

While the infrastructure development here was very impressive, the cleanliness was not up to the mark. There were too much foul smell in the atmosphere and as I walked around, I saw a sewage opening going right into the beach water which could be the source of contamination.

Well constructed and informative! Could keep up with maintenence though. Some signs seemed to be quite dirty with pan masala on it? Levy heavy fines to keep it clean!

Awesome place. Very well designed and true to the spirit of Kozhikode where Vasco da Gama first landed in India and paved the way for colonization of the country by the Portuguese, Dutch and the British along with the French. The square is made as a memory of the resistance of local people against the British right there at the beach.

I just love this place and also in my Territory and my Kozhikode and i also saw the musical show of thaikkudam bridge that i mentioned below you can see that.

A homage memorial for freedom martyers. Attractive Memorial walls shortly tell the role and history of Malabar during freedom struggle of India. Rock and red sandstone description fill patriotism to everyone. Good place to spend evening. Behind this beautiful beach is seen. Night projected lights give enthusiasam to see the highest walls. #freedomsquarekozhikode
