Workout equipments are just below or near the trees,quite relaxing. All most all kinds of workouts are possible here,with weights starting 6 kg to upto 35 kg in dumbbells and for barbells upto 15 kg plates on each side max and as low as 5kg barbell(2.5 kg each side). Just one drawback in that,with latest renovation,the squat barbell rack plates weighing 50kg(25 each side plates) were removed and in place 20 kg plates(10 kg each side) were installed for squat rack,which is funny. And unfortunately the 35 kg barbell stand is broken,though the bench exists for bench press but no stand for barbell to rest as it is still broken and not renovated during renovation last month (August 2023)

Perfect place to walk, workout, tik tok dance, sit, yoga etc. Specially if you are looking for a pocket friendly gym experience. Many people workout here in the morning and evening which makes the atmosphere motivating. Very close for people living in Matunga area.

Nicely maintained by daily visitor. Ghanshyam bhai, Chandu bhai and team member take care... Open for all....

Dumbels, weight lifting exercise, pull ups, push up, bars are all available at the one corner of one of the garden among 5.

Five Gardens area in Matunga is part of the famous Dadar-Parsi colony. This area was specially established for the upper class Parsis in the very early 19th century by the efforts of Mancherji Edalji Joshi, a renowned Parsi patron. The British however built it under the scheme of Bombay City Improvement Plan for the localities of Dadar, Matunga, Wadala, Sion in 1899-1900. So this is the first planned area of the city with spaces allocated for residences, green space, schools and colleges with proximity to transport infrastructure The purpose was to de-congest the city after the Bombay Bubonic Plague Epidemic which broke in the September of 1896. According to the plan they wanted to house about 60,000 people in Sion and about 85,000 in Dadar & Matunga. Now there is as much people in every square kilometer of this area So back to the garden itself. These are exactly five gardens just like shown in the map above. Getting here is quite simple. This is at a walking distance from King's Circle and if you take the train get down at either Matunga or King's Circle Railway Station and then take the taxi. The garden itself is like any other Government infrastructure waiting to fall apart.
