The 54-acre underground fossil museum showcases rock formations that prove that dinosaurs and other reptilians lived in the region ages ago. The museum has fossils, rocks and minerals from the Precambrian, Jurassic and Cretaceous periods. It also showcases rocks of marine origin dating back several million years. A section of the museum exhibits small and big mounds, signifying layers of land-formation over millions of years. Some layers of the mounds will help study the geology of the area.
Fantastic place. Must visit for all students. There is a dinosaur species fossil egg. The in charge was knowledgeable. They have shown a video of the fossil site. This is equivalent to Grand canyon in timeline. Many schools and colleges students are coming to visit, but not felt the importance. It is 8 km from NH81.
