Fortune Miramar, Goa - Member ITC's hotel group - Hotel in Panaji - North Goa, India

Nice place well done and great location. Attentive servers good management and great coordination. Nice. But you guys sure need to sort out the parking and specially the valet parking system. Not everyone wants valet parking. Me included. I like to park my own car. Wherever. Maybe it's just me. But the guys weren't just surprised and unhelpful but there wasn't anyone to guide me or show me where the parking was or anything... Not nice. All else was fine.

This can not be called as a 5 star hotel. Me and my friend stayed here for 4 days..We had multiple issues..my room auto close was not working, my friend's door lock stopped working every now and then. Last day when we were about to checkout and in a hurry to pack things to catch the flight, my friends room door got locked and they took an hour to repair their door lock. Since we were late for the flight, we requested reception for a cab..he connected us to a driver who was demanding double price. I am sure if it was any other 5 star hotel they would have dropped us to airport as we were late because of them. These guys were least bothered. We came out and got a taxi for a price which is less than half the price these guys quoted.

Great location, Near Miramar Beach, all the cruise casinos are within walking distance. The rooms are good in size, Food is tasty, Bar and swimming are available, Service staff is supportive. Recommended for both business and family trip.

We live next to Fortune Hotel in Miramar. The hotel has been hosting guests/dignitaries for the national games. The Taxis of these guests are parked Infront of other residential buildings and homes in spite of the hotel having basement parking. These taxi drivers have been urinating in the open and littering the area causing a health hazard. They have also begun entering our premises to use our water supply. The Fortune Hotel staff have been informed about this to no change.

Had a delightful experience at Fortune Miramar. Property is at 2 mins walking distance from Miramar beach. Buffet breakfast has a lot of variety and live cooking as well. Service was top notch - Speed of service, attention to guest and friendly staff. Deluxe Room was clean and spacious.

Excellent Hotel with excellent Service and Food. Best part was it's my anniversary the day i checked in there was a surprise inside my room. A cake and well decorated room made our day. Thanks to Pranav and Housekeeping Staff. Love it

TL:DR: This is NOT a 5* Hotel. It is your 3* at best. If you want an experience which is worth your money, avoid this like a plague. We travelled there with my family for 4 nights in July. We had booked two rooms to celebrate my sister's SURPRISE birthday. This had already been communicated with the hotel and they had mentioned that a complimentary cake and some towel arrangements would take place. We land and head to the hotel, but it's raining profusely and we were exhausted. Upon arrival, we communicated with the front desk that we will be heading out to lunch and if we could borrow umbrellas. They did not have any additional umbrellas. While I understand that it is just as much as my responsibility to bring one during this monsoon season, I also fail to understand why a hotel which is part of ITC does not provide additional umbrellas for the staff and patrons? I have travelled to many Asian countries and during monsoon I have seen umbrellas placed inside the rooms. Anyway, we received one and decided to walk to the restaurant around the corner. What pissed me off was the manager's nonchalant behaviour (who wasn't even at the front desk) and his frustration directed at the security guards outside. What are the guards supposed to do? You are the "manager", MANAGE! 15 minutes in, I get a call where I was and when I was check-in. Ironically it was the SAME person who I JUST had a chat with. The line wasn't clear so I called him back, albeit a little upset. He changed his tone and said it was because of the "complimentary cake". I told him he could place it any of the rooms as long as it was covered, it would be fine. Still a surprise. Then we have our lunch and head back. Check-in. The CHECK IN PROCESS WAS THE WORST EVER. I have been to many hotels this was shocking. The same man brings out a CALCULATOR and starts punching in PER NIGHT RATES. I informed him that I had the email of the same, he could just do that, but he refused. We waited. Additional frustrating things were: the AC in the lobby did not work, for at least 3 of the days I was there. It was hot and humid. The WIFI was slow. I had mentioned to the front desk because my payment was not going through and he said "yeah, its normal." I would like to mention that he was a patient man and did wait generously while we made our payment. He mentioned the complimentary cake again. I said any room is fine. At this point we were all tired and just wanted a shower. We get a CALL again about the CAKE. Apparently, they had called the other room first about it and then here. My sister picked it up and the surprise was ruined. There was no towel art but the cake did taste good and it was nice. By this point it was apparent that the hotel lacks COMMUNICATION and is very DISORGANIZED. Everyone at Fortune had an attitude and barely ever smiled. Rude and unprofessional staff. I wonder if they are cutting costs and employing new/ untrained staff. During my stay I had asked if I would be getting the Green points they reassured me that I would. I did not and contacted the customer care/reservation to help me out with the same. It's been 2 weeks. They don't reply to emails neither are they crediting the green points. Honestly, this experience is so bitter for me. I would have not bothered writing this review but the last part is what upsets me the most. You folks umbrella yourself under the 5* hotels but this is not it. You can't take my money and then not provide the basic things. I am naming and shaming you folks. Not a 5*. No hospitality. All a sham. Taj's hospitality goes a long way and is much better.
