Fort Vypin Beach Park - Park in Kochi - Ernakulam, India

Small park, not well maintained. The ambience is good as it is near the Chinese fishing nets. If it rains no cover to seek shelter. The joints of certain installations are rusted. Mostly, couples who seek privacy come here as it is secluded.

Highly recommended for all tourist. Well maintained and clean place. You can see the Chinese fishing nets here and the local church looks beautiful. We took a water metro and it was worth a ride.

First of all, I wonder if there is or was an actual fort here. I couldn't find any supporting references from the history books. Anyways, this place is familiar to me since childhood as I was a student of a school adjacent to it, though there was no walkway or park here at that time. Over the years, this place has evolved into a place worth visiting but it has to develop much more to be worthy of a mist visit place. The walk way is tiled with good grip, so walking is not that difficult. The parallel view of the Kochi Estuary (azhimukham) is simply breathtaking. There are benches along the walkway where you can sit and enjoy boats and ships entering and exiting the port area. You can also see fishermen in action, operating the Chinese fishing nets, which is an iconic view of Kochi. There are plenty of lamp posts lighting the walkway but many of the lights are broken or damaged. There is also an amphitheater which is still in good shape. The childrens' play area has some equipments broken and some rusted and needs immediate attention of the authorities. Located along the walkway is the 17th century 'Our Lady of Hope' church founded by the Portuguese. It gives a majestic aura to the entire area. Watching it all lit up during festivals is an enthralling view. If you go all the way to the west end of the walkway, the scenery is taken over by the garbage dump, polluted canal and disturbing stench which spoils all the goodness you have imbibed so far from the place. Having a lot of stray dogs around is also mildly scary. This place requires more care from the Cochin Corporation and local authorities and if well maintained, This is going to be a real crowd puller.

The sunset at Fort Vipin Beach is a beautiful sight to behold. The sun slowly dips below the horizon, casting a golden glow over the calm waters of the sea. The combination of the warm colors of the sunset and the sound of the waves creates a serene atmosphere that is perfect for relaxation and reflection. If you're looking for a peaceful and scenic spot to enjoy the sunset, Fort Vipin Beach is definitely worth visiting.

A good place to get a stroll away from the busy life, early mornings and evenings are the best time to visit. Also, you could buy some fresh fish (chemical less) love from Chinese nets of locals. You will be able to see the fortkochi from here, and if you are interested 5 minutes walk you can take a ferry to fortkochi.

Well easily accessible from the bus stand, water metro station and the jankar. There is water metro from nearby station to ernakulam at each 20minutes almost but aince the water metro is newly introduced, there is always a long queue. But the normal boat jetty for regular boat service is also just behind that metro station. So conveyance is easily available and accessible. Only thing is the beach could have be a bit more neat. The people coming there have littered a lot of plastics near the beach and the beach water and surroundings have turned dirty. It's a beautiful place otherwise but not at all well maintained.

Its a good beach for travel enthusiasts. But sea is slightly polluted, so do not allow children to drink sea water. Good place to visit ... Do not visit during Monsoon season in kerala.. Danger Ahead in Waves.. Safety is our No :1 priority..

Great place to spend time with your loved ones. Evening is the best time as you can go to the beach which is nearby to see the sunset.
