Very well maintained by Archeological survey of India. Good place to knew more about the History oadilshah Dynasty and Bijapur
One of the most crowded tourist places of Uttar Karnataka. Avoid visiting in public holidays and weekends. You have to buy two separate tickets for museum and gol gumbaj each Rs20. Maintenance of ambiance is good but no drinking water facilities near.
very big and well maintained area ...u hav to keep bags in counter for a charge ...phones and money can b taken with you ..you have to climb 100 steps to top ...then 6 more steps to enter inside to get view of inside from top .the parapet is short so b careful .single women not allowed they will say get permission from counter area ...then they allow.takes minimum 1hr to see museum and fort ...lot of restaurants outside the spot ...
There is no fort here. This is an over enthusiastic marking from a local guide. Bijapur was a fortified city and if you walk around the city you would come across the fortifications, bastions etc. This complex mainly has the world famous Gol Gumbaz, a mosque, a museum and you can see some fort walls in a distance towards the north east.
Well maintained monuments can go with family and friend and also couples can go and have fun and can enjoy the nature , the upper view is awesome and the sound that echoes 7 times really a brilliant and mind blowing
Such an architectural marvel. The structure is very huge and the lawns around are very maintained. It us ASI protected monument. To appreciate the acoustics inside, it is advisable to visit early morning. The lawns and structure is open to public at 6 am. The museum inside opens at 9 am. Even a soft whisper is audible across under the dome on the 7th floor. Once crowds increase, the noise level increases. There are 108 steep steps to reach the top.
Had a great experience here, the place was very well maintained they followed all the covid 19 norms. The tickets were also booked online. The museum is also good but not to forget should book separate ticket to visit. T echo for which the place is famous for is phenomenal, overall a good place to visit and is very near to the highway.
Overall a dry and humid place. The monuments and architectures are great. but the city kills it all. Overall a one time visit just to see all the monuments once in your lifetime. Visit these places during non summer periods. If you liked this review, please give a thumbs up below
