Forest Watch tower - Park in Mudumalai - The Nilgiris, India

An old stone tower with a winding wooden staircase and a viewing gallery on top. It has a very aesthetic iron gate. We visited this as part of our govt. safari in Mudumalai tiger reserve. A climb of 4 floors & the view from top was mesmerising of the valley with shades of green & blue in the monsoons topped with scattered clouds.

This place is in Inside forest and in safari they'll take to waterfall. View from top is awesome.

You can get here only through Forest Safari trip. You will get a beautiful view of the falls.

Forest watch tower provides a nice view for Mayar river water falls. Public not allowed to visit this falls in their own vehicles. As a part of Safari visit some times they may take you to this watch tower

This is visible only when you take a bus safari from madumalai tiger reserve. They take you in a bus inside the deep forest but hardly you find any animals except deer's. Bus will stop her for 5 to 10 min for side seeing. Place is good. You can visit once not more then that. Huge water fall and the valley is very steep. The watch tower is on height.

Safari trip is available at all time (Rs340 /- head). Nice forest view & it will end near by tower & nice waterfall. sighseeing of wild animals depend on luck. Deers & monkeys are seen almost all time of journey. The only problem is that there is no good restaurant near by if you tired after safari. #Muthumalai #Tamilnadu_tourism

Your Mudumalai visit is incomplete if your safari did not stop here. Most of the evening safaris skip this awesome place so do try to book the safaris in the early morning. One can see Ooty, Bandipur, Masinagudi from this watchtower.
