Forest museum is actually a Nature Interpretation Center situated near the Kalimpong college and police station. It is not much famous among tourists but it is a nice place to feel and know the nature. People can visit stuffed animals and skin of tiger and leopard in this place. There is also different statues and scenaries displayed here to describe lifestyle of people of hills.
A well maintained and well updated environmental museum having animal related fact figures and structures and some original fleshes of tiger and others. It has beautiful Dioramas and great fact boards. Loved it.
The only forest museum in the town. The condition of it is not that good. But even though one can find many knowledgeable things here. Its a child friendly place. Almost a 15 minutes walk from the market. You can even get a vehicle from the town.
